Better late than never, Mrs Katherine Johnson....I am glad you were able to see all your work being recognized ; while you were alive....

She herself doesnt even believe that she got a medal because she did nothing and her calculations were honestly a tiny part of the overall mission, and even then, she wasn't actually coming up with any of the guidance parameters, but was simply using basic arithmetic to make sure that the guidance computer's outputs were lining up with its inputs.

I felt so bad today at school because I was eating lunch and I got a text from my Dad. Then in social studies we were finishing watching The Hidden Figures. She was such an inspiration
