Kathak on Thali | Thali Dance | Dance on Brass Plate |
Tanmoyee Chakraborty is one of a few kathak dancers who performs Kathak On a Brim of. a Brass Plate called Thali.
It was earlier Performed by Legendry Kathak Artists in Benaras Gharana.
Tanmoyee 's Guru Smt. Keya Chanda has been trained under one such Guru of Benaras Gharana who Taught and encouraged her Guru to Perform on it.
Tanmoyee Is going on Training of Thali nritya under her Guru.
This particular Item is enriched with simple Thaat, Tehai, Layakari, Padam Amad and Ladhi with Sawaal Jawaab pattern of Tattkar at the ending Part.

Kathak now is not performed on Thali..This is a very rare item . My guru is reviving it. Vishal Krishnaji also does it..and Myself..it needs real dedication..

But I will suggest you not to do it in any contest of Kathak as in competitions all contestants will perform kathak by foot and not on thali..so your dance will not matched ..
