After Katelyn Ohashi's perfect 10 a few weeks ago I have started watching some clips of her past routines and one thing I have noticed is that her/the teams coach Valorie Kondos Field not only serves as the head coach but she also plays surrogate mom to these girls. It is obvious the love, concern, and affection that she has for Katelyn. I know the team will miss "Miss Val" when she retires.

OMG. Thank God she is okay! I was shocked when I saw the fall! Wow, she is tough as nails and Such an amazing gymnast to get right back on that beam . She needed to do that's I keep her confidence.

That smile at 1:58 after falling hard made me tear a bit. To think that someone can get up with such triumphant attitude, try again and conquer

Wow. She is very lucky not to have been seriously injured. I've never seen that happen on a beam dismount before.

ok in any other situation, a person landing on their head / neck like that would be made to stay still, be put on a spinal board and taken to hospital for a proper assessment. Seriously WTF? (and no, just because you can get up an walk does not mean you haven't damaged your spine or neck - in fact, doing so, you can cause more damage!).
