I always knew about Kate Mulgrew but came to the I love Kate Mulgrew train really late, lol. I literally started to watch Orange Is The New Black in July of 2023, and when I finished the show I have been going down the rabbit hole of Kate Mulgrew and that's how I found out about her writing Born With Teeth and How to Forget A Daughter's Memoir. I got the audio book for both books and they were so good, I listen to both books in about 3 days and that's because I had to sleep, lol. This woman can tell a story like no other, I would drop everything to listen to her read or talk. Both books did something to me and I truly cannot explain, to hear her tell her story and do it so beautifully was amazing. I lost both my parents, about a year apart and it was hard on us, to this day I don't think us kids are the same without our mom and dad. I started to revisit her earlier work and OMG this woman was good at 19/20 better than some people I see acting for years. Adore her so much and most of all I adore her work, and yes I am now watching Voyager. I hope to meet her someday, I never really want to meet anyone famous, until her.

I have just had Kate read How To Forget and I must say having the Author actually reading her book adds a while new denention to the stories, She not only reads the book but it's like she brings you into her family and brings you along for the ride. When she has the Happy Memories you find yourself smiling, when she tells of the sad times you can't help but feel your heart break, and of the funny memories my goodness if you close your eyes you just feel that you were there also and you can't help but laugh. I can't help but wonder if Kate ever regretted not getting and giving her Mom the tablets she asked for, after seeing how her mother was at the end of her life. Altziemhers is the cruelest disease of the body I think a person can get. It not only ROBS the individual of there mind and body of all their memories, and all their love for everything and everyone in their lives. But it also robs them of themselves. Not only that but it robs their family and friends as well, only they have to watch their loved one disappear not only day by day but he by he, and they are left with a body but with no-one at home. So I just wonder if she regretts that party discision, But it is a beautifully written book, that is extremely articulate, it is concise, it is engaging, it is haunting, it is romantic, and it is a book that is written by a woman who you can tell has nothing but the uppermost live and Respect for her Momna and Daddy, and indeed her siblings and those that she loved throughout her life. Thank you Kate for blessing us with the life and memories of your family, I felt honoured that you let us in and shared something so personal. So thankyou, and God bless you for being the beautiful soul that you are.

Greetings From Florida 🏄‍♀️ I’m reading and viewing every thing “ Kate” 🌹 I, relate to her on many many levels, especially with her Mum ❤️ in the 1970’s my Mother was dying of cancer, there wasn’t hospice in those days, and I was her caretaker, 24/7!! I, left a tape recorder at Mom’s bedside, and told her to record any and all of her wants/needs....it quickly became her “ shrink “... She would talk to her black box daily..and I realized how cathartic it was for Mom and me too! I, asked Momma..” Any regrets?”....Yes, She replied..” I, regret never making it to Ireland 🇮🇪 “...She’s Gone to Glory 🌈 R.I.P. and Sorely Missed ❤️ A Mother/ Daughter Love 💕 is So Truly Unique and So Special. I am my Mother’s Daughter, on so many levels....and I believe also is Kate🌹

It is amazing to see and hear you speak as yourself. The "real" you. I've watched Star Trek Voyager a lot during the pandemic. I must say, I'm having trouble seeing the difference between "you" and the character you played. You obviously made the character of Janeway your own. Thank you for being you.

I'd love to see a Voyager Reunion movie! They deserve to be drafted into service. Kate is stunning and would fit into her role as Admiral.

It's funny I just got to this part of the book, listening to the audio book. You're an amazing actress and writer! I love how you tell your story and bring your family to life for us. I'm a huge ST Voyager fan and have even met you and had my picture taken with you in Philly a few years back. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and story with us!

What an interview! I've learned so much and have been given the gift of a new perspective, with regards to chronic illness & depression! I thank you for that! I cannot wait for this book to come out. Guess I need to stock up on some Kleenex! I've always looked up to people older than I. She is the exact type of person I'd get along with perfectly. I believe I have scv older soul!

How funny... Without having read the book for one to know it's a masterpiece. I guess it has to do with who is the writer. She speaks, one listen and grows to be a better person. She's so admirable.

Great interview with an intuitive, bright and articulate woman. All the paper rustling, however, was irritating and unprofessional.
