that's totally me - weirdest transformation in my perception of a song. can't get it out of my head (but also greece - coming back again and again - also a bit weird). now that I am 48 I can say, now I appreciate the song contest for all it's weired and extraordinary entries. otherwise we wouldn't know about these songs or gave them a chance to grow on us. we could only see such outstanding staging only on lady gaga live stages :-)

This song is about Kate’s battle with post natal depression. The figure behind her is depression sneaking its way into her life, always looming there behind her. “Zero Gravity” is the feeling she finally got 2 years after giving birth, when she finally came out of that terrible depression! It’s an incredibly beautiful, relatable song. It’s so much more than a pop-opera song.

I hope Australia keeps sending these entries as it was a joy to watch. Also, Israel isn't Europe either, but they've participated and won several times now, Australia can do this too no doubt about it.

As far as I'm concerned,Kate won the night,in terms of presentation,and Dami Im was the REAL winner in 2016. The negativity comes from the supporters of countries that send mediocre entries every year. Australia honors the Eurovision Song Contest by sending amazing entries every single year,and a lot of countries need to step their game up. I'd love to see Australia win one year. Besides,it's because every year,all of Europe makes up their mind that "this is the song that's going to win",and the other 40 songs might as well not even exist. @@K-Ville I think it's because she's a polemic winner. Unfortunately KZread doesn't share statistics so we cannot know how many of these dislikes come from Australia or the Australian diaspora. But some of the winners from past years elicited a lot of dislikes as well for different reasons, from Conchita to Jamala to Netta and even Salvador Sobral.

Yeah. Her voice is amazing. Her song "Sarah" had a similar effect with me with the line, "why didn't you scream?“

People are hating on this so much because of the genre of the song with is pop/opera/contemporary mix , because its Australia, and because ofc their favourite 2000 and Whatever lost. Hopefully that will change over time because this is a real masterpiece. I'm sure it will qualify.

On repeat listen it gets better. I still quite dislike the part between 1:15 and 1:45 and I think this is the part that makes many listeners tune out. The rest is actually quite good and I love experiments with opera in Eurovision.

I'm a born and raised Aussie teen. Surprisingly, Kate has never been massively famous here. However, me and my little brother grew up listening to her music and *loving* her music. Her pop-opera genre is one of the main memories I have of my childhood. My family loved her to the point where we would see her whenever she was around, and we have signed CD's and everything. When we heard she was trying to represent Australia in Eurovision this year, I was ecstatic. When she won the honour to represent us, even against the other Australian candidates, I broke down crying. Kate has been a big part of my life and I'm so *so* proud of her. Australia for the win! 🇦🇺

She had some big hits way back but stepped away from 'mainstream' stuff .. mostly been indi/folk/alternative which isn't everyone's cuppa. She experimented with different stuff and been out of the spotlight for ages and love that she's re-emerging .. just watched 'Australian Story' (ABC) which tells of her journey. She plans to record a new album after ESC. Her right to represent Australia is well and truly deserved.

Mad Max Fury Road has reached Eurovision

Zero Gravity has grown on me. Art, Opera, Staging, Voice. I have a feeling they are going to shock everyone as a standout performance and qualifying. Good luck, Australia!

Me and my daughter listened to this, and she suddenly jumped in my arms with so much love, I felt that she realised this song has a vibe of love and joy.

I am from Brazil and we are impressed with his talent, beautiful performance and presentation at Eurovision. We're cheering here.

That was iiconic.

I love her voice, I was not convinced this is her best song but it's really growing on me. To those saying she sounds like Estonia 2018, I'd suggest do a quick KZread search for some of her previous work. Her operatic indie pop style is something she has cultivated over many years and is definitely uniquely her own. Live she only sounds better. Recommended tracks would be 'Share your air', 'Last day on Earth', 'Words' and the hauntingly beautiful but tragically sad 'Sarah'. And for a taste of her wickedly Australian sense of humor, do listen to 'The Facebook Song' or even her cover of Britney Spears- 'Toxic'.

The song and perforbance are very similar to Elina Nechayeva - La Forza - Estonia from last year

At first, I was so sceptical about this performance. I thought it is weird. But when I looked through the lyrics, I realized that this song is about mental depression. And now, I like this song. A very original song. Hope, it will be in TOP-10.

Makes sense since Kate Miller Heidke went through some pretty bad Post Natal Depression which put her career on hold and this is a triumphant return to form for her.

Underrated... Australia always underrated...

Greek boy . It wasn’t. They’re in the EBU. Israel, Cyprus and Morocco aren’t in Europe yet have performed at Eurovision. Plus Australia has sent some good songs that are better than a lot of other countries’. They have a 100% qualification score for a reason.

So buffoonery, copying others and zero talent is unique and totally different?

Australia has decided so could we stop with "Electric Fields was better" comments? Clearly it wasn't as Zero Gravity won both the Jury and Public vote quite comfortably. I'm also loving the comparison to Estonia 2018 as if it's a bad thing. Elina finished No 8 in the final so by comparison Zero Gravity should get the same result - go Kate, brilliant attempt at something different !

You are not the only one! Please send this song to the final... Australia needs our support because Juries will not vote as it is something different... They must not break their record of qualifying at all semifinals in their best song... GO KATE!!! Greece may not give 12pts to Cyprus this year...
