No. Almost no one thinks this is an issue. A lot of mothers edit their family photos to look nice. The media is creating unnecessary hysteria to bully the poor woman into revealing more of her personal health info.

It's because she has been missing since Christmas after it was announced that she needed abdominal surgery and would not return to royal duties until Easter. Conspiracies began to swirl when she remained out of sight, with no updates on her condition whereas the King who admitted to a cancer diagnoses has been seen. A Spanish reporter even claimed she got news that Catherine was in a coma. This was denied by the palace. Things got worse when Prince William suddenly pulled out of an expected appearance at his Godfather's memorial just 45 mins before it began for "personal reasons". Naturally, people were worried about Catherine but the palace claimed she was doing well and his absence had nothing to do with her. A random paparazzi photo of Catherine sitting in a car with her mom suddenly came up. But the photo was blurry, the woman looked more like Pippa than Catherine and the car appeared to have 5 tires instead of 4. People got even more suspicious. So on Mothering Sunday a photo is released of Catherine and her children and it was said to have been taken a week before by Prince William. While this happens every year, this year is different because this photo is meant to stop all the rumors that something has happened to Catherine. However 4 photo agencies issued a stop order on the photo because the photo has been so grossly photoshopped it has failed their journalistic standards. To make things worse, the palace is refusing to release the original photo that would put a stop to all the questions. People are making a fuss because of the palace's deception with the photo and because it is not actually known if Catherine is ok since the photo cannot be trusted.

@@betternews3835 Ah, thanks for the detailed answer. I thought people were mad at her because she manipulated the photo, but, if I understand correctly, the real problem might be that people are worried about her, and mad at the Palace for withholding information about her condition.

​@betternews3835 Hmm I think this is a bit overblown 😅. Just like anyone else, she wanted some privacy after her abdominal surgery. The Palace's statement is normal and hasn't changed; that she is recovering and will get back to work after Easter. Perhaps King Charles is more open, but he doesn't really have the obligation to disclose a private health information either. Even though they are royals, they still have health privacy rights just like us normal plebs. Also, KC also hasn't told the public what kind of cancer he has, and he doesn't have the obligations to do so either. The random TMZ paparazzi photo seemed normal and blurry... like a normal paparazzi shot to me. Can you, 100% tell us for certain that it was Pippa? Because I honestly think it looks like Catherine. The fifth tire just looks like a bush to me tbh 😆. The UK media has an agreement with the Royal Family to not take any private photos but the US doesn't, and it's clear this was a violation of her privacy. Again, she just wants to recover privately and peacefully. The badly edited photo was also taken by Catherine, and she has apologised for it on Instagram. She has been known to take photos of the royal family by herself, instead of a royal photographer. She has a degree in Art History, with a thesis on Photography I think. But at the end of the day, she still is an amateur photographer, and it would be normal for her to make mistakes. Especially if she's recovering. She was probably feeling pressured by the media and public and tried to calm things down, but it backfired instead. I think the UK Kingdom has learned the mistakes of Princess Diana, and Prince William and Catherine seem like a happy, normal couple. They had a 10 year relationship before getting married, and seem pretty solid. If you truly want to care about crazy secrecies and the wellbeings of Princesses and Duchesses, I think you should pay attention to the Princess of Monacco and several Middle East countries. Now they are living under extreme duress, you can see it on their faces. People should be worried for them. Catherine seems okay.

Who cares? Its not like she photo shopped herself to be skinnier like a bunch of other influencers out there.

They need to explain why they only captured the one image. The worst possible image, unless they were trying to get a picture of Will scrolling on his phone or Kate staring away and at a brick wall. Who was the photographer of this "Kate in Car Part Two: Not the TMZ one" photo?

Those making accusations that william did something. Think of your logic This is a couple who have dated for years and married for years. They have remained focused on their family and duties. You want to talk about abuse? How about a woman who has issues with her family and friends, then marries a man and then all of a sudden theres issues there too? Both isolated but using royal titles, yeah, worry about harry, not kate. She is entitled to wanting to keep her medical information private and take some time off to focus on her health. I had abdominal surgery some years ago. Depression sets in with that type of surgery. It takes months before feeling normal again. I wish her the very best.

Ridiculous stories - A large number of women edit their photos. It’s not a big deal. We have wars going on around the world. We have a debt crisis. Is this someone trying to distract us with a non story?

Its a picture of her, and her 3 children. To me that is authentic enough. There was no ill-intent to do any harm, like bullying for instance. Did she edit it, thinking she was making it nicer? So what? Sky didn't fall, earth didn't shatter. Its a lovely gesture, and still her and her children. She is devoted to serving the people because her message is to thank those that supported her, those that respected her privacy request, to alleviate concerns, and to share her family - all about her people, and intended to be a thank you, heart-warming and reassuring. She didn't have to say or do anything while on her medical leave of absence. Kensington Palace released her photo (from her website) to the news media. They didn't audit it for metadata. They should have because surely they knew that many media have policies about original photos? They dropped the ball. The news media published the photo before filtering the metadata. I guess maybe they made a presumption but their business is their business, and its their policy, so for that reason they should have filtered it so they didn't have to "kill it". They dropped the ball. But only one person has taken any accountability. The Princess of Wales, by herself, is the lone voice. Catherine has shown tremendous courage in her apology because she didn't have to do that either, especially knowing critics far worse and much more cruel than your passive comment are lurking about for any slip. Catherine has endured endless personal attacks for years, even more recent abuse simply because she has asked for privacy, and now this mountain out of a mere mouse fart. But still there she was, poised, smiling, chin up, carry on. Its the British way and she represented us in a manner that brought pride. Royals are equal to us in that they are humans, and as humans we ALL sometimes exercise errors in judgement, trust someone or something we shouldn't, try to do something good that backfires, are misunderstood and wrongly accused, or make an outright mistake. She could have hidden away in her ivory tower, instead she stepped into the fire. I don't know many people who have that level of integrity, and braveness. I think that Catherine is incredibly brave and I am proud of her. She picked herself up, stood her ground, and I hope she will dust herself off and be back to it in a matter of weeks. She walks with lions, John and I am sorry that you couldn't see that.
