I am loving this series. I only wish there were more. I’m dreading the day when I’ve watched them all. I guess I’ll just have to watch them again.

Must say that's extravagant ! Everything fallng into place- the poor cops were completely out of the scheme of things .Good old Mrs Columbo - Kate Mulgrew with her sweet face and sexy voice wins the day again .

Thank you The Kate Crusade ! What an absolute delight to have all these episodes on your channel for us to watch. I’m so very grateful to you as I’ve not seen these episodes in absolute years and they are really hard to find online or even to buy on dvd. Thank you so, so much ! 💓

So much like Murder, She Wrote! She draws the answer to her puzzle from everyday movements and tasks, just as does Jessica Fletcher. Like trying to put the cookbook back on the shelf and solving the mystery from that.

It really is, and that's likely why I love it. Both use deduction, knowledge of people, and physical evidence to get to the truth. Also, the conclusions are very similar, and the murderers every bit as creepy or cold-blooded.

When I first saw voyager I recognised Kate as Mrs Columbo. So I was interested and in both roles she made both series a pleasure to watch.

The reason these weren't successful is because the murderers were cold-blooded. The audience who loves Columbo liked their murderers a bit more understandable/likable. I love a good mystery but not with evil as a factor. God bless.

Does anyone know when the show aired and on which network ? Funny how Mr Columbo never appears just like the original but in reverse. The dog is younger and the car is in worse shape in Mrs Columbo. We were Columbo fans back in the day however Mrs Columbo tv show was not around at the time. Puzzling!

It started airing February 1979 on NBC and ran until 1980. There are only 13 episodes in total. From what I can see the airing schedule was horrible. Season 1 (5 episodes) in February-March 1979, then season 2 (7 episodes) from October-December 1979 with the final and 8th episode of season 2 in March 1980. It's no wonder this didn't succeed...from what I gather it didn't get much attention (and how could it?)

@@thekatecrusade5013 did she divorce? I thinks she called herself Callahan and referenced being single in the opener of Season 2. How did she get the legit journalism job? Thought there were missing episodes explaining. That would have been interesting.

How stupid, next door Sister Janice leaves all the equipment, like the police is not going to check on the apartment. And also the police cannot determine that the TV exploded vs the guy smashed it with something they don't know? Bad plot. Ridiculous.

These would have been better had they not tried to make it a Columbo spin-off. Too much fluff trying to make the connection, wasting plot development time.

The Pinto does, in my book. Were you aware that Columbo's car is the rarer of 2 versions of that model of Peugeot, which didn't sell well because by the time they arrived here, they were almost as expensive as 'Vettes, but without any of the get-up-&-go! 😂 Falk picked it out of a bunch of cars they had available out on the back lot, probably because it was the perfect Columbo car: there's more there than meets the eye! 😁

@@scootergreen3 Perhaps what it even is; or the fact that after shipping, handling, tariffs, etc., an unremarkable car like that could be nearly as costly as a Corvette when they were new. Of course, when most Columbo episodes were made, they were probably GREAT on gas, but when they were new cars, few if any cared about MPG! I personally might have known & then forgotten what it was, but I'm thinking what I said about the "more than meets the eye factor" just has to do with the fact that it's the most unremarkable-looking car in the world, yet it's an import from a day when few if any imports sold well.
