I love this song ... I'm a gen x er and grew up with 80s music. I remember the first time I heard it and just two years ago I added the song to my playlist (I was 49 at the time). Kate Hudson does a great job here... that said, the original is a classic! Thank you!!

@@newspapertaxis1 With all due respect, please have your hearing examined. If you had to listen to the original, then you had not grown up during the Big '80s. Nothing beats the original unless the cover artist reworks it to another level. See Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower by Dylan. It surpassed the original in terms of airplay and recognition. Kate's version is slightly different. Either way she rode the coattails of her famous mom. She'd be waitressing in Manhattan if not for Goldie. eh

Ok, I don't even know where to begin. First, that shows she's got great taste in music. I don't think I have ever heard anyone else sing that song. It is one of the best songs of the 80s (any era, actually) and so underappreciated, in my opinion. Secondly, that anyone would even attempt to sing that Aimee classic almost seems sacrilege, but Kate absolutely nailed it and OMG I hope it is on her new album because that just might be my new favorite song!!! I loved it that much! She managed to preserve the feel of the song which I would have thought impossible. And she stayed so true to the original while also somehow making it sound completely original, fresh and new! I am absolutely impressed!!!
