This is wonderful. She’s so real and genuine and pure. No pretension or canned responses. Just entirely herself and her opinions. She’s just incredible. Truly one of a kind.
One of my all time favorite albums.
What a gem. ❤ I know there is a constant clinking and chatter in the background, but I quite like it. Thank you for sharing it ☺️
The Dreaming is a masterpiece.
This interview is incredible.
Kate Bush is everything!
Loved Kate's dancing with her talented dancers 🙏💚🎶

I think the sound is slightly sped up on this one as even the man interviewing sounds quite high. I’ve always thought that with this interview!

@@fionamaddock3984 It could be. I adjusted the speed of some of the Heart audio because of that but it just didn't dawn on me that this one was, too.
Wonderful album. She had unusual qualities. Her ability to imagine and identify was really quite something. something earnest and modest bout her as well quite the opposite of current times.
Great interview!
Great footage of Houdini.
(Basically) K : Needed an obvious single choice for radio air play (Tenner) Interviewer: There were other tracks that could work as well? K: No. 😂😂 The Dreaming = My #1

Shocked to this day that There Goes A Tenner 7" didn't go Top 75!
As a fan from old I am pleased. but too much background noise. and Kate generally speaks quietly. But from 82 and me in America....it is special.

I've always pictured this in my mind as an interview with a journalist in a restaurant or cafeteria, something that was recorded on a little tape recorder and meant to show up later in print only. I have several interviews with different artists that are very interesting but a little difficult to hear. It reminds me of the days when the only times we ever saw our favorite bands was when they appeared on a television show or in a little article in a music magazine. Different times. I'm always grateful when I find a little bit of Kate Bush I haven't seen or heard before. Thanks for watching the channel! I live the USA but was in England when Kate had all that first success with Hounds of Love. So glad she had such a resurgence with Stranger Things!
The pitch is funny.

I know. Sorry about that. Once I get done with my current projects, I'll see about bringing that pitch down.

Why is it so speeded up?
Kate Bush is God
Wonder if she got most of her talent from her Irish mother.
She wanted to work with Rolf Harris 😨😨

She *did* work with him, quite a few times. She didn’t know about him then. Neither did we.
I'm confused about this. Who are all these other people babbling in the background? Why didn't the interviewer either go into a quieter room or tell everyone else in the room to STFU? Did they not see Kate Bush sitting there giving an interview?

I'm thinking that the interviewer was a journalist for a magazine, and that the recording was probably just a back-up for the notes he was taking. It sounds to me like they were in a cafeteria or a restaurant. He probably never intended anyone to actually hear this recording.
Is that Jools Holland?

There's no info on the disc, so I can't say for sure, but that seems to be the consensus here in the comments.
Kate is such a talented musician. Much better than that narcissist Madonna.
