explaining that the direction youre looking in changes the height of the aerials might explain why i had such a hard time doing stuff like this when I tried to practice. It could also be that im on console (Current gens) so it could be a frame/ping thing, hopefully the next time I try this ill be able to float people with the verticals, if it works I'll even come back and sub

3:27 i have the D fast fall timing off the c.V but i cant get the lift on off the grapple when i do c.V again. Like i get it off and everything but the enemy doesnt fly up with me for the air horizontals. Also im newer to the game sorry still not super familier with all this games terms.

Nope, glyphs will not affect any combos. It is most likely just needing more practice to slowly speed up all of your actions.

Are you still able to perform all these combos? I feel like I'm attacking slower than in the video. The combos I haven't been able to replicate even once are CV > H > H > Focus, or CV > V > H > Focus

Hey sorry for later reply. Yes, all of these combos are still possible, even on 60fps. You can try doing a sliding uppercut first instead of a normal uppercut which will give you more height. If you still don't get enough height, then you can try uppercutting into a grapple, then the H H focus or V H focus.

i do have a question, the level 2 combo at 2:04, idk if im not doing it fast enough but i tried doing it on combat mode bot coz i wanna practice it with a real time wakeup and my blue focus is not hitting/they wake up as soon as i throw it no matter how fast i try. any tips?

There are 2 reasons here why the focus might not be hitting. 1. You release the focus too late. The focus must be released right as it charges to the first stage. 2. You are bumping into him when he is already on the ground and not in the air. There are 2 things which can help this: Do your grapple cancel earlier, and also aim at the far side of the white circle below the enemy when grappling. If you are still having trouble let me know.

Hey, so in order to air dodge you need to make sure you are doing a SLIDING uppercut (s.V), not a normal one (c.V). It is impossible to air dodge after a normal c.V on katana. Let me know if this works.

Here I am just holding W, you need to press V as soon as you hit the ground, maybe even just a bit beforehand to buffer the input. If you are still struggling, you can try with an s.V first instead of c.V.

s.V chains will be harder the lower fps you have. When I record I usually play around 170 fps, though for all combos I will switch to 60fps to see if they are possible first. I can do 2+ on 60 fps, though I don't think I would focus on that combo if you are playing at 60fps.

It's ok haha, it took me a bit to figure out at first too. If you just press shift twice you will always get the 2nd dodge as a roll. However if you press a directional key at the same time as the second dodge, it will do a tap dodge instead. What you can even try is just tap dodge, hold down a directional key, then tap dodge again, just to see what it should look like.

Just one press. If you find yourself double tapping you are most likely doing the first one too soon which makes you think you need to double tap. Also, if you are a newer player I personally advise against trying to learn heavenstep.

Oh I think I might know your issue, make sure you HOLD C instead of just tapping it. Holding will make you slide instead of just crouching. And I appreciate it!

Hello im practice with ur katana guide but have problem with lvl 3 first combo after s.V u go with j.h u face still in same direction even if the puppet is behind you can go still go in this direction but for me it simply turns towards the puppet while jumping, causing it to fly backwards in wrong direction I can't keep my direction. I can see u have melee aim assist but it looks like u can still control direction, in my case i cant control direction in this situation. Can u tell me how u can controll direction even if u use melee aim assist?

Yes, if you hold W during the j.H then you will not have this problem. Holding W will override the aim assist and you can control where he goes.

I will assume you mean the s.V chains... It requires perfect timing. I can do it on 60fps, but just takes a lot of practice to get the timing correct.

Press V sooner, as soon as you hit the ground. You can start the combo with a sliding uppercut which will give you more height. Also uppercutting from the front of your opponent will give you more height.

I have no idea why but the level 2 floats just don't work for me. It looks so reliable but after the v after c.v following up to h, h only hits once because the opponent is grounded after. I assume all these are guaranteed combos, no? I mean in a sense that combos with disengage will be applicable to human players being able to dodge at the earliest timing?

Yes, when performed correctly, every single combo in this video is 100% true. The most common mistake for the combos you are talking about is simply inputting H/V too late. You want to input them almost before you even touch the ground. When performing the version that begins with V, it is very important to hold W for long enough. Try starting to hold W earlier. If you are still having problems, I recommend starting from s.V instead of c.V; This will give you more height and make it easier to land the float. I hope this helps.

What ping and fps do you play on? As long as you are 60 fps both of these should be possible... If it really just doesn't work, you can do c.V grapple into either float, or simply just grapple into focus.

No, most of these combos can be done on 60fps and all of them on 120fps + 30 ping (excluding some level 4).

Im on pc and cant even do the last two bunny hops to juggle him he just drops like a rock

I just can't hit the juggle after doing c.V on the float combos variants

Try doing s.V instead of c.V to start off, you will get more height. It also requires very precise timing, so I would keep practicing as fast as you can.

The combo at 3:00 i get everything right but the blue attack never lands I don’t understand how you get that to land

If both hits of the second H hit and keep your opponent in the air, you should be able to hit the blue. If it still doesn't hit try to release your blue earlier, as soon as you hear it charge to the first stage.

This is most likely just a timing issue. I swapped to 60fps and I can still hit it. If you are struggling with height you can start with a sliding uppercut (s.V) instead of a normal one (c.V).

Can't do the infinity uppercut and heavenly =( trying around 3 days, 140-200fps 60-70 ping

Hey! So these are both very advanced combos, I would not feel bad if you cannot do them after only 3 days. I would recommend you take a break on practicing and try them again later, it might help you a lot. This is how I learned heavenstep, I took like a month break of trying it then one day I just could do it o.o. If you have any specific questions though, I would be happy to help you!

The lowest I have seen it done on so far is 40, but that doesn't mean it is not possible at lower. At lower ping, higher fps will matter a lot. I can do this combo at 120 fps 60 ping and also 180-200 fps 50 ping.

Is second level 2 combo doable with ping 15 and 170 fps?

Yes. If you are struggling with height, try doing a sliding uppercut instead of a standing one. You can also hold A/D after the uppercut so your character falls faster.

I hard try every basic and few advanced (110fps ping 47) but somehow u land faster, charge faster and after land hitting an anemy stay stugger longer. Great video but for me it's not work, or I'm doing something wrong

Advanced really does mean advanced. I have been playing for almost a year and it took me a long time to get down most of these combos. The most common difference is speed. You may not even notice the differences now, but the longer you play you will.

Yes you are right, it is by far the most complex in order to combo. I was in the same position as you before when I first started, I thought I was doing things the exact same but looking back I was just mostly slow.

level2 always popular its easy take down enemy

I have 20-30 ms, 144 FPS and i can't hit them in time after c.V H -> V

Besides the last couple combos, I have seen every combo in this video done on 25ms or lower and 150fps or lower. Higher ping is not necessary to do these combos, and lower ping is an advantage in almost every other aspect of the game. There are even combos which only work on lower ping or are made objectively better because of it.

Everything in this video is still possible. Depending on ping and fps, some things will be harder/impossible, but that really only comes into play in level 4.

I don't know why, but my character often just does V instead of s.V.

Common issue, don't worry. You just need to wait a bit longer before you input your V. What is happening is you are not giving your character enough time to fully slide before you try and uppercut, so it just does V instead of s.V.

your video makes no sense to me, i can't even do the first combo so i slowed it down to 0.25. you're writing H c.V V but the input on the top right only shows you inputting H and then crouch, there's no right click, yet your character does an uppercut your character does an uppercut without any input, it's just so senseless
