tbf Kashtira is way less broken if u are prepared for it. The fact that Kashtrira boards have zero negates is a huge weakness.If u have nibiru you can just wait for the end of their combo and you almost instant win..

@@joanaguayoplanell4912 idk. I think all of the cards Kastira has within its archetype and generic ranks 7s aren't bad on there own. BUT together become the worse thing to happen to Yugioh. A walking dshifter that helps an ojama king lock your zones more than once per turn combined with a miller that banishes face down also. It's way too much. They all need to be errata'd to once per turn

@@ghosbaby shangri-la is the only card that isn’t once per turn when it comes to the lock. Diablosis has a hard opt on its milling effect. Ariseheart’s quick effect banish is OPT. Making shangri hard once per turn means that it would just be bad for locking zones, making it a soft OPT would be more balanced since you can only lock 2 zones per turn consistently, and making it a hard OPC would be better too since stuff like diablosis wouldn’t lock two zones on its own. Either of those changes being made would be great (the soft opt especially) since they weaken the card without making the mechanic ass

Love how the highest competition looks more "coin flip" than the casual one. In the highest competition where "best deck" always appears. Their opponent should draw the unsearchable cards or lose the next turn.

A year since this video, Kash is doing "okay" Arise and mind hacker are banned, but Snake eyes running that T0 year of fire. Nothing has really changed

They should bring the camera more out of focus... I could still read the logo on the playmat

Every format i look at the top meta deck in terror and amazment at their insane gameplay. Then I soon realize that eventually theres going to be something thats arguably better that will become the new "best deck". I always ask "What bs has to happen for this to not stay the best deck? What comes after this?" I asked this after Pacidina and frankly, im a little concerned about what the answer will be this time.

I take a break for 7 months due to the previous 5 formats being stale and come back to this. The fact that this sort of “board locking” is even achievable is a testament to how dumb Konami’s R&D is when creating new decks. Also, it’s funny how this makes having mystic mine at 3 look a viable option. Yugioh desperately needs at least 10 other formats at this point.

He went all in and bet that his opponent didn't have nibiru or any other hand trap therefore he is lucky cause he took a risk and it paid off , if it didn't paid off we would say that he was unlucky... Now whenever that was truly well played its debatable but anyway...

@@alexb.1372 this is finals of a YCS, I'd say it is indeed the correct play, there's no point in kashtira to play around nib, you just hope they don't draw it and that's it, ariseheart alone will rarely win games. That's not how luck works, he would have been indeed unlucky to get nib'd, but him not getting it wasn't luck, it was the most likely outcome

look this is why yugioh mostly single player solitaire game, you got second no hand-trap or going second card you lose. And mostly all the match one player go crazy combo and win the game. Or get floodgate literally shut down opponent to not play the game. THANKS KONAMI always print absolute broken and not interactive card to play against.

you won't see people playing this at your locals because the deck is incredibly expensive and even then there are options for dealing with this, it's strong but not format warping

@@kingvelard I'm looking at trying cyber dragons, clocknight made them much more competitive I think. I usually play dinos and ABC tho, those are my favs. Picked up zombies and elditch as well, but their is a learning curve there

I think kuri kara is an auto include at this point especially for labyrinth or other trap heavy decks

It can. To fix omni-negates boards, put spell speed 4 on the bulk of new cards (excluding omni-negates effects, naturally). To fix turns taking too long and having too many special summons, add a format with a 5 special summon limit. But this blocking the spell and monster zone is absurd. That card should just be banned.

In fairness the field spell could have already been banished when he got the top like 14 or 15 cards of his deck banished. And its unlikely you play more then one of the field spell anyways.

for me this is the perfect example of how bad the game is any TCG that is well balanced would have a mechanic that doesn't allow you to win on the first turn. unfortunately yugioh has become a game of luck and infinite combos

1. Konami releases new powerful cards.. Older Archetypes crying for support are ignored. 2. New cards get to be tier 1 or tier 0. 3. TCG and OCG limit or ban the newer cards. 4. Repeat.

I just got diablosis on a pack and inmediatly dismantled it because I thought it was useless. I mean... this is wrong, just ban something already

why is konami trying to ruin this game? runik, kashtira, tear, spright, all are purpusfully robbing all the fun out of this game. and there are quite a lot more, that should have never been printed. it is starting to feel like, there are no humans designing this game, but some kind of ai.

I'm somewhat new to yugioh, but lets say u get to search for any monster in ur deck via card effect, doesn't that mean u can also see what ur gonna draw for the next turn, or decide whether or not u wanna mill the top of ur deck if u do so?

Any card effect in all card games will generally tell you to shuffle your deck afterwards when adding or removing a card from your deck unless stated otherwise.

@@ricey3952 as I mentioned before. Unless it says you don't need to shuffle then yes you can look at your top card. It's called closed information to you as a player but I can be sure there's literally no card game or card effect that says you don't need to shuffle. Otherwise you're playing a card game with terrible design.
