Day 5 was a true test of our trekking skills. We navigated a daunting expanse of boulders, requiring careful footwork and determination. The highlight of the day was the awe-inspiring Zaj Pass, standing tall at a staggering 13,000 feet. The climb was nothing short of challenging, but the view from the top was an unforgettable reward on this remarkable KGL Trek.
From Zaj Pass, we descended to our campsite nestled near the pristine Nandkol Lake, offering us a tranquil haven amid the rugged terrain of the KGL Trek. Day 6 marked the final leg of our journey as we trekked from Nandkol to Naranag, the concluding point of this incredible adventure on the Great Lakes Kashmir Trek.
