Bajirao is the perfect example to the world to show how one grt woman kashibai and his first wife made his life and how the other mastani destroyed it.....the importance of a pious woman in a man's life is often overlooked..

Oh please everytime mastani gots into troubles/ invite troubles it was kashibai clean up their bloody mess. Callme witch i myself an muslim but ihate bajirao & mastani compared to them I respect kashibai more.no child goes against his father without an reason nobody shows how much kashibai suffered,tolerated,sacrificed in this marraige.how her property was given to his mistress/lover/2nd wife whatever..... After what they did to her......this bloody lovely couples death it was still kashibai who supported & fought for his family took care of thier child without any hate just like an real mother. To me kashibai is an great warrior "men fight in battle fields but women fight everyday battle in home with society" she fighted with everyone,every single time for his respect,for his family's respect without asking for anything in return..... It makes me cry & respect her more.

Kashibai was a great Rani

the folk tales says that it was a political marriage but the film Bajirao Mastani turned it into a love story and infact the filmakers had also said that this story shown in the movie is just a fiction . But still we agree it and we criticised Peshwa Bajirao who expanded the Maratha Empire . It's so shameful that because of one doubt we criticise our great leaders just because of some distorians of our Indian History .

Tanisha Not folktales but historians say that it was political alliance. Actually Bajirao was reluctant to accept her but Chhatrasal gifted her to him. In compensation, he gave him gold worth 5 lakh rupees. When Mastani came to Pune, there is no record. Construction of Shanivarwada started in jan. 1730 n ended in early 1732. At least at that time she was not in Pune. Some say she was sent somewhere around 1731 bcoz death of Chhatrasal happened in 1731. So probably he sent her to Pune before his death or she came after that. Initially she was kept in Kothrud wada n later in 1736-37, she started living at Shanivarwada. The historical fact is nobody knew about her political background. For people of Pune, she was a kalavantin, a woman who earns by singing n dancing. So now think, what is the root of lovestory. Peshwa ek nartakike liye itna karenge to wo pagalpan hi mana jayega na? So the question arises why Bajirao did not reveal her true identity to his people? Perhaps, she would have got respect. But we dont get answers to these questions. She was a mistress only for whole Pune n Bajirao also. Shahu maharaj mentioned her as a vastu in one letter. So see what was her status. So the people who blindly believe in lovestory must give explaination of Bajirao's strange behaviour. What Bajirao did to give her respect? The lovestory is product of Marathi literature.

@@paramitadaskanaujia4999 Both loved Bajirao equally but Mastani came from Rajput background jaha sati pratha jada prachalit thi. Patike bad aurate easily pran tyag deti thi. Maharashtrame aisi established parampara nahi thi. Dusra reason ye bhi tha ke Mastani did not have any support in Pune so it was evident that she did not survive. Mastani was as innocent as Kashi. She was given to Bajirao by her father, she came to alien land, in alien culture and was not accepted by the society. She died unsung and deserved better treatment. Kashi not only accepted another woman but also accomodated her in their life without any malice, supported her husband till the last and after their death, she braught up that child as her own. To ye pyar nahi to kya hai? They suffered bcoz of the nature of Bajirao. It was stubbornness of Bajirao that his mother and brother must accept Mastani. Agar ye jid wo nahi karte to they would have lived happily.

I think you don't know history. Bajirao never gave importance to Mastani. Let me tell you:- 1) Bajirao declared Mastani as "Mastani" but Kashibai as his wife. 2) Bajirao never took Mastani with him in any wars as shown in movie but took Kashibai to many military wars. 3) Bajirao and Mastani's marriage was because of political alliances. Not because he loved her. 4) Bajirao gifted Mastani two villages but gave his two sisters much more. 5) Yes Bajirao built Mastani Mahal but he also built Kashibai's temple. 6) everytime Bajirao went on a war he wrote letter to Kashibai but never to Mastani. 7) Mastani was a political responsibility for him. But when he tried to support her a little all people said that they are like Romeo Juliet, but it's not like that. The real Romeo Juliet are Bajirao and Kashibai But in Bajirao's family they followed strict monogamy so Kashibai thought that Bajirao was only her but by marrying Mastani he broke Kashibai's heart but he never leave Kashibai's hand he always loved her
