i know right one of my partners and i watched it together this afternoon since she loves it and i have never seen it but i love it and we both kept pausing for a bit to say oh i feel that just relating to a lot of it since we got together recently so the ova has a special place in my heart now

i'm reading the manga and I truly love how they planted the lesbians with thoughts we would say in the reality, it makes me feel like i'm not the only one having the same struggles, that's why it is different from others yuri

i love this anime/manga... i like that it starts just a short time before they start dating and it's like you said really realistic... the manga is just gold, i hope the author will keep writing new chapters... i like that they are having a mature relationship (sex or smth like that) and not because of fanservice, it makes the manga jut more realitic sry for my bad english lol

This is my favorite yuri among every yuri I've ever watched (which are many). As you said, I find it very accurate, sweet and dreamy. You can perceive it wasnt' meant to be appreciated by straight adult men only.

Aah since you’ve watched many and Im serious here can u recommend me something? Ive watched: Strawberry Panic (loved it) Netsuzou Trap or however that dogshits name was Citrus (hate the anime love the manga) Sakura Trick (Dont remember much, was cute) Revolutionary Girl Utena (isn’t really yuri but the main relationship is a lesbian relationship) Bloom Into You (loved it) And I know I should watch Kase-san but do u have any other recommendations? @@nedarangelova9595 -Adachi and Shimamura (Though I would recommend reading the light novels (too) since the anime wasn't that popular and stopped airing before they became a couple) -Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (It isn't focussed on yuri, but Nibutani x Dekomori is definitely one of the best girl x girl ships you can find in anime) It may not be much since there aren't that many high-quality yuri anime, but I hope this'll help!

I remember going to the line for the AX premiere like 2 hours early so I could get a good seat. It was totally worth it

loved the manga a few years ago, just got around to watching this OVA, and wow i didnt expect it to make me cry so much. i thought the pacing was a bit odd but they did really well on conveying emotion and love and it was really refreshing that they chose to start the story after they got together. loved this analysis, i wish more people talked abt this beautiful OVA

That wonderful romantic feeling they had is one that anyone is lucky to have even once in their lives. I liked the way Kase just melted like butter when she was with Yui.

I completely agree. This needs a second season and so does Bloom into You.

Watched this film last night. Thanks for framing why I loved it. The mix of fluff and social commentary is rare in yuri and was beautiful.

Read through the main manga and into the sequel before seeing the ova… and I love the adaptation. And reading the current arc… I keep falling in love with the dorky sports Prince that is Kase and her very relatable perspective of “I love her… so naturally everyone else must see her the same way” and her insecurities because while she’s more outgoing and understanding of romantic situations… this still feels like her first actual relationship and she’s terrified of losing it. The current moments in the manga… I had my own Kase “death by romantic overload”reaction at Yamada’s choices… can’t wait to see them progress.

Thank you for this analysis and recommendation! I'm personally tired of shows that end on the couple getting together or fail to explore the actual relationship if they do get together mid series, so I definitely have to give Kase-san and Morning Glories a watch! Especially, since I want the story I'm writing (a crossover between the different subgenres of Mahou Shoujo) to have romantic realism.

@@imadethisaccountowatchyoutube well I get you to know that the second season of the kase-san manga; yamada to kase-san is 24 chapters so far and all of it happen in college and it's still going so yeah kase-san goes past college and I'm not talking about the OVA that didn't even adapt a quarter of the first manga I rest my case I've been reading kase-san since 2015 so I pretty sure I know what I'm talking about

So what so bad in indulging in things that make you happy? Unless you’re in Japan of course. And if you immediately don’t join college and then the work force, that will be in your resume. And any company you will try to join will ignore you simply for the fact it values people who spent time in self discovery less than those have picked out their future in middle school. Japan is great in many places. But it’s also pretty harsh and fucked up in so many others.

Totally agreed I'd LOVE to see more Kase-San and Yamada animated! Maybe more OVA's? At the very least, I would think. But then again, we've been waiting for season 2 of Bloom into You for about the same amount of time, so as heart broken as I am about it, I have to accept we just can't get the good stuff. (Heck, I'd take a Season 2 of "Say, I love you..." but that ain't happening, and it's not even Yuri.) Anyway, I know this comment is a bit late, but the algorithm works in mysterious ways. Your Light is a 5-minute prequel. Technically, it's adapting the beginning of the manga, since the OVA itself starts when Kase and Yamada get together.

Bloom into you is still my top Yuri anime. Not comparing it with this one. Cause for me it's totally different, no childhood traumas here just occasional important decisions they have to make before anything else. Sadly, maybe that's why it's really that difficult to do the story of Touko and Yuu when they're already attending college. It's just too good to be true.😢

Read the manga just now while it’s wholesome kase kinda controlling yamada made her first friend in college and her friend wanted to attend a mixer but yamada knows how kase feels about that so she called her and told her bout it kase said no but since yamada made her first friend she didn’t want her going alone so she went anyway kase showed up controlled everything but everyone there was underage so they left kase roommate is starting to develop a crush on kase but she doesn’t know her feelings yet and when she took care of kase when she was sick and kase wanted to take care of her while she was sick kase brought up the reason why her time went down the girl then said then go talk it out with that person then she told kase that if she was a guy she’d date her because she’s cute after all and kase response was if you were a guy I might wanna date you too you’d probably be handsome

its an hour long OVA, and currently the original kase-san series has 5 volumes while the sequel series currently has 2. Both series combined are around 45 chapters anyways so its not super long.
