Kaschauer klezmer band played on Saturday March 8th 2014 in the Kasarne / Kulturpark great concert full of klezmer melodies soak with folk musical traditions of Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Slovak and Romani folklore, enriched with elements of classical and modern music. Sold out concert hall rewarded them for it with thunderous applause.

Kaschauer klezmer band odohrali v sobotu 8. marca 2014 v Kasárňach/Kulturparku skvelý koncert plný klezmerových melódií presiaknutých folklórnymi hudobnými tradíciami východnej Európy, Balkánu, slovenského a rómskeho folklóru, obohatené o prvky klasickej i modernej hudby.     I’m a Roma I so like this music style it’s just beautiful I feel joyful similar feeling I have when I listen to the old roma gypsy music of Eastern Europe .. Jews are blessed with musical talent as well 🙏 ❤

    I love Klezmer!I grew up in West Philly listening to Klezmer late 50’s early 60’s.I am 67 yrs old now.

    You might have heard my mom's cousin's klezmer band, back then. They were from Pennsauken and played all over the Philadelphia / Camden area from around 1960 to the early '70s. I don't recall the name of their group, but his name was Sam Abrams.

    ....from a perspective as a musician and percussionist, music made/written well, can evoke such strong emotions and memories for the listener....I am forever fortunate to have had tutelage of an excellent musician / teacher, who opened my ears to a whole world of music !     I played in a 'traditional' ceilidh band for some time and this type of music was always a big hit at weddings, although we didn't know many tunes I'm afraid. Sadly, although we gradually increased our repertoire, we all suffered major health issues and the band folded. Great fun whilst it lasted though!

    This is the only music that touches my 1000 year old soul. Memories I know I don't have keep whirling. Certainly, for me, my personal musical heritage of thousands of years long passed is resurrected at the sound of this deeply emotion-evoking music.

    Such a surprise that there is a Klezmer group in Chicago. Grateful to my daughterinlaw in Boston. Enjoying this music; I'm now honoring the people of the Ukraine who are threatened

    I feel like I am visiting my grand-mothers house in 1970. My father had a lot off this music which all of us "children" have in our music collections. I probably got dropped at high-school with my fathers music, like this, playing in the 7:30am traffic. Who says TIME TRAVEL is IMPOSSIBLE!???

    AMAZING! The subsonics/subtonics on the clarinet runs are impressive, and the entire band's artistry is delightful. I am trying to transcribe this music to sheet music but it is so hard to capture this kind of genius on paper. Well done!

    I can’t understand either, Arkady, how the audience can just sit there. I went to a concert last night of a klezmer band, in Katoomba, Blue Mountains, Australia-same sitting down and watch, except for me. I had to dance to the great rhythms.

    I agree. I dance whenever the music moves me. I dance in parking lots and streets! If I am overstressed, wherever I am, I turn on the music on my phone, dance and I am happy. Klezmer and Eastern Gypsy music--the best.

    Yep, I agree. This is dancing music. Klezmer (I think) was originally music for weddings.

    This music is the most emotion conveyed, than in another music Ive ever listened to. People think the blues is sad but I can literally hear the hardship and cynicism in this music. The conversational aspects of it are amazing!

    Listen to Deuter, Kitaro and Michel Pépé. Those are divine, while this is degenerate and artificial, without a virtue. Soundtrack for stirring and stealing. Just lots of unnecessary notes describing running rats.

    Saw a Klezmer concert at Tiberias, on the Sea of Galilee many years ago. Loved it. Loved Israel. Beautiful country and spiritual.

    I've hope too! Russia is innovative in weapons design, and sometimes ahead of the West. An unmanned submarine carrying a 10-megaton dirty bomb. This would be detonated at a port city, submarine base, or other coastal site, spreading a lethal radioactive cloud over a wide area. Sorry ruble continues to fall and is not responding to our achievements in the military sphere

    There is something unique about this band, with instruments that aren't always heard in klezmer performance. I am from Czech and Polish families but I didn't learn either language, so I feel I cannot properly thank you for uploading this concert. I am so grateful, and instantly a fan of this group!

    Seven Musicians, Seven Days. The Band reminds me of the Week. All days do their thing and at the centre there's Szabos explaining it all, and the Week and Band are Tools of the Divine, and every Week / Concert is one syllable of the Heavenly Message. Something like that. Whoa!
