There was another jail in Calcutta which has been turned into a museum.Earlier it was called Alipore Central Jail. The jail site has been now developed into an independence museum in memory of the martyrs who were imprisoned and executed there. Now it has become Alipore Museum in a new way.

Pls do walk about to … st Mary school too… lots of memories and there 😊

Must be such a horrific and terrible experience for our fellow citizens of India Bharat deeply grateful to you Priyanka for this experience and knowledge with all of us

The clock is working.. thanks to efforts of Indian army personnel.. I visited last year in July and had the privilege to go upstairs (from the inside the church) and see the whole clock mechanism..!!😊

I was there last May. Lots of changes I can see. The stalls on Mall Road appear more in number and fuller. I purchased special tea leaves for making kahawa and the pahadi Jeera from a person selling them at the start of Mall Road. I found the church very depressing, maybe because I went there in the evening. When I went to Monkey Point, the people at the entrance to the Air Force base had warned me to take care of myself against the monkeys. All the way to and from the entrance, up the hill to the temple and back I met only one Monkey. In the morning I spent peaceful content 3 hours at the Meditation Point. No one was there. All was calm and quiet. But to make me come back into this world, some men and women started making announcements on handheld speakers. The purity and sanctity present till then were lost altogether. It was good in a way because I had to catch a bus to Panchkula.

I honestly loved the vibe of Kasauli. It is extremely touristy but it also has a calmness. One of my fav places in Himachal now :)
