Karue Sell's 3 Tennis Superpowers. How does he make it look so easy?

Спорт

Have you ever noticed how unique Karue Sell's game is and how effortlessly he makes everything look? That's because Karue possesses some incredible tennis superpowers that truly set him apart.
I've been closely following Karue's journey as he turns pro at 30 and climbs the ATP Tour rankings. Since Karue is too humble to praise his own game, I thought I'd share my insights on what makes him so exceptional.
🔹 Ball-Striking Ability 00:43
Karue's first superpower is his exceptional ball-striking ability. His hand-eye coordination is off the charts, allowing him to hit the ball cleanly and consistently. Watch the clip to see his amazing ball-striking skills in action!
🔹 Baseline Control 01:29
The second superpower is his ability to control the baseline. Karue uses precision over power and spin to dictate the points, forcing his opponents to cover more court. Check out the clip to see how he keeps his opponents on the run while dominating the baseline!
🔹 Adaptive Backswing 02:47
Karue's third and most crucial superpower is his adaptive backswing. Unlike most players who take full backswings on every shot, Karue takes a measured and compact backswing, adjusting based on the situation. This adaptability is key to his ball-striking and baseline control. Watch the clip to see his adaptive backswing in action!
These superpowers are at the core of Karue's unique game and make him a formidable player on the court. But the question remains: Are these superpowers enough to propel him to consistent success in ATP 250, 500, 1000 events, or even Grand Slam tournaments?

His return of serve seems to make the biggest difference. Have to be able to chisel out breakpoints against some very dominating serves!

I think his mental state is also an advantage. He can see the current state of the game as it is, and make adjustments accordingly. It is like he views the match from a third person perspective, hence detached from the emotions of playing the game.

You mentioned others on tour are backing up more, moving more, and taking bigger cuts. It sort of implies they're worse for it, but ultimately that's the approach that's winning, is it not?

I meant no implication that todays top players are worse off for taking bigger cuts and standing back further. Most of today's elite players have exceptional speed and agility and combined with poly strings this style is certainly a winning combination for many players. However, for those players without elite speed and agility (examples: Karue, Rublev, Mannarino) taking the ball early is a necessity to be competitive. In summary, each individual needs to leverage their skills and a complementary strategy to become the most successful version of themselves.
