People are so busy in judging karn was villain.. but not understanding his emotions turbulence..anyway it is upto them..onething I observed here is if you have all in your life that is birth status, caste status, money status they think that arjun was great..if they dont have all of that they feel like karn was great.. At the end they are forcing us judgemental and take stand who was right and who was wrong , if every one is good on earth how do you differentiate good and bad. but krishna himself told that don't judge anyone in mahabharat but understand and adopt good deeds of it.now a days more intellectuals are becoming judges In youtubes..

Majority comments here are from ignorants who have not read a word of the Mahabharat. - Both Krishna and Karna were set adrift in the river after birth. Krishna grew up in a simple, poor household, with a loving family but also lived in a perennial shadow of death from Kamsa. Krishna grew up as the most lovable child, whose childhood antics we fondly worship till this day. He realized his own self as Virat Vishwa Roopi Yogeshwar Paramatma at a young age, and yet despite all his powers remained the most humble and down to earth human being, who we worship today. - Karna, on the other hand, grew up in semi royalty. His foster father Adirath was not any commoner, and most definitely not poor or vulnerable. Adirath was a powerful figure in the Kuru kingdom, a close confidante of King Dhritirashtra. A Sarathi was equivalent of a modern ship or aircraft captain. Adirath was himself a Kshatriya and a descendent of the royal family of Anga, which is also why Duryodhan later crowned Karna as the king of Anga. Despite growing up in royalty, Karna was full of arrogance and jealousy. - In terms of age, Karna was older than all other Kauravas and Pandavas, and much older than little Arjun, who was far younger to him. Yet Karna always felt jealous of Arjun. Imagine in today's times when a 18 year old tries all dirty tricks over a 8 year old. Such a person would rightly be called a Bully.

Karna's skills as an archer are highly overrated by ignorant modern commentators. - The most powerful warriors at Kurukshetra were Bheem, Arjun, Satyaki followed by Dhrishtadyumna, Abhimanyu. Even Yudhishthira, Nakul and Sahadeva were great warriors. On the Kaurava side it was Bheeshma, Drona, Ashwatthama, Shalya, Duryodhan and Kripacharya. Here too we see how vile and arrogant Karna was. He sulked when Bheeshma became the commander of the Kuru army instead of him. Bheeshma himself knew how vile Karna was and did not accord any importance to Karna. Karna entered the battle only on the 11th day after Bheeshma fell. - Forget Arjun, who was far more powerful than Karna, Karna was not even a match for young Abhimanyu. Karna was one amongst many who ambushed and killed poor Abhimanyu in the chakravyuha. If Karna was so powerful why could he not defeat Abhimanyu one on one? Why was he part of the ambush? This was the turning point of the war. From this point on, Krishna removed all shackles from Bheem and Arjun, and they finished the war within 5 days. - Modern commentators also wrongly think that Krishna pleaded with Karna before the war to save Arjun. Krishna only gave a last chance to Karna to salvage himself out of respect for Kunti. Krishna always knew how vile Karna was. There was not even a chance of Krishna thinking Karna was better than Arjun. Krishna knew that Karna's arrogance would lead him to his own end. - When Karna's end came, Krishna's message to Arjun was that this vile character deserves no mercy. He is the one who insulted Draupadi on multiple occassions, who continuously coaxed Duryodhan into this war, who mercilessly ambushed and killed Abhimanyu. This is why Arjun finally slayed Karna.

Karna was a "token". This word can explain him a lot. He was neither good nor bad but simply a token or became a token due to Duryodhan offering him a small village to rule to make him a raj instead of sur-putra. Thus he became a token and acted accordingly.

Those who valourize Karna have only a half baked understanding of Mahabharata. Karna is an extremely complicated character (which requires a lot of time and maturity to decipher) and Ved Vyas uses him very intelligently in the epic.

Without getting into how good or bad Karna was, one thing i found unacceptable was that he promised Kunti that he wouldn't kill 4 of her sons - He did not have that right as he had already promised his friend Dhuryodan that he would do whatever it took to win the battle for him. Even if you are the greatest Daanveer, you can only give something you have - when Kunti was begging for her sons' safety, Karna gave away something which he did not have

@@rhitickdas1790 Karna is nowhere close to the greatest archer in the battlefield. This is just fiction created by some modern writers. Karna is one of the principal villains of the Mahabharat. There is a teaching why the eldest son of Kunti, Karna, is the villain and follower of Adharma whereas the five younger ones are upright and followers of Dharma. The greatest warriors in the Mahabharat are clearly mentioned by Krishna in the Geeta. Nowhere Krishna acknowledges Karna as better than Arjun. Arjun and Bheem tower over all others in the battlefield. Next are their sons Abhimanyu and Ghatotkacha. The only warrior on the Kaurava side who could match them was Bheeshma. This is why when Bheeshma was commander, the battle was somewhat even for 11 days. After Bheeshma fell, Karna came into the battle because until this time his ego was sulking. Satyaki, Drishtadyumna were also stronger than Karna. Arjun was way ahead, Karna was no match even for young Abhimanyu. Karna was one amongst many who ambushed and killed young Abhimanyu in the chakravyuha. If Karna was so great, why could he not defeat Abhimanyu one on one? Why did he have to be part of the ambush? Abhimanyu fell on the 13th day and this incensed Krishna and the Pandavas so much, that the Pandavas vanquished all others within the next 5 days.

Infact when karn tells Arjun to follow dharm and not attack him, krishn immediately shuts him up about how much of an adharmi he was and he has no right to ask Arjun to follow dharm. Krishna proceeds to order Arjun to kill Karn. About danveer, Karn was already warned about Indra asking for kavach kundal, he knew his kavach can only help save him but won't help in killing Arjun so in return he asks an Astra that would kill Arjun. If he was so capable why did he ask for a specific weapon to kill Arjun. Not to forget Arjun has defeated him twice alone.

Everyone who is complaining. Why don't you read Vyas ji's Mahabharat, the original text. I have not read it myself and I have only see B R Chopra's Mahabharat. But I am not stupid to fight and call someone names if I have not done my homework. We know text is seldom translated as is from text to screen, they make a lot of changes, they also try to keep the common narrative in public when making epics like this. For example Lakshman Rekha is not in the original Valmiki Ramayan, but its widely believed to be true so it was there in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan. Personally I love the sequence but I not going to fight someone if they tell me its not in Valmiki Ramayan. Its fine its not in the original, its good that I know it now but I can still appreciate a bhakt's version or interpretation of this sequence. So stop calling people delusional if you have not done the reading on your part. First read, then you have bullet points to argue else it's like shooting blank rounds of a pistol.

Karna was treated ill due to discrimination that's also a fact and he was rejected by Draupadi by calling sutputra.. also Pandavas lusted for draupadi hence Kunti ordered them to marry her so that no fight happens between brothers. I seriously don't find any morale good amongst Pandava and even kauvaras

Karna wasn't Over Glorified in Dwapar Yugaa, but he is Over Glorified now, as today's people have much more deep understanding and wisdom of Karna's character than Dwapar Yugaa's - peoples, rishi-munis, brahmins, warriors like Drona and Bheeshma and Gods like Krishna and Hanuman etc. who always stood by the side of Pandavas🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. @@someshwari_debi Then I should be on top of that list of those people due to my life conditions, but that's cheapness, because Hindu Dharma never support victimhoodness, rather one should always trying to be better person than blaming the society or destiny for his adversaries, and that's what real hero's nature is - which Arjuna had, that's why Shri krishna supported him. The irony is that Shri krishna himself had faced much suffering and hardships in his life, who would he complain to??? There is another term for victimhoodness - "Emotional Fool". One of the core fundamentals of Bhagwat- Geeta teaches us how to be an Emotional Intelligent by standing and facing difficulties in any kind of adverse conditions, if they arrive, BUT SHOULD NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT IT (which Karna used to tell the most). That's what Shri krishna always used to teach Arjuna and other Pandavas. This fact is hard to digest for many people, but that's what makes a man a real hero.

Arjun was a very compassionate man, even as a warrior. The entire gist of the Bhagawad Geeta is because of Arjun's compassion and emotions towards his opponents. It shows the heart of a kind and good human who stayed kind towards even his enemies in the most adverse situations. Only once Arjun lost his temper, this was at Jayadratha, who was responsible for Abhimanyu's death. Arjun had single handedly defeated the entire Kuru army, that included Bheeshma, Drona, Karna, Ashwathama etc. in the battle of Virata. Arjun's ability was far superior than all others, with the only exception of his elder brother Bheem. Arjun and Bheem towered over all other warriors at Kurukshetra and the Kauravas never stood any chance, especially after Bheeshma fell. In the final battle with Karna, Arjun showed the same compassion. Arjun was far stronger and yet stayed defensive. One should interpret these only as war tactics. There are dialogues between Arjun, Krishna and Bheem during his battle with Karna. Both ask Arjun to not show compassion and vanquish Karna. Krishna even tells Arjun to use his Sudarshan chakra if he wants but Arjun refuses. Bheem tells Arjun that if he is feeling compassionate, he himself will vanquish Karna. All these events lead eventually to the chariot wheel episode where Karna begins lecturing about fairness to Krishna and Arjun, and Krishna finally reminds Karna of all his evil acts, and tells Arjun that such a person deserves no further compassion from him. 🙏

Please quote me the shloka where this happened. Bheem was focused on the Kaurava siblings, he had no inclination to get involved with Karna. Karna was one of many who ambushed and killed young Abhimanyu. If he was so great why could he not defeat even a kid like Abhimanyu? Forget Arjun and Bheem, they were far more powerful, Karna was no match even for Abhimanyu.

Please understand that Karna was not unarmed. He was cursed to die after losing his knowledge of Bhargavastra and became niradhara (no chariot). Even after his chariot wheel was stuck in mud, Karna continued fighting with Phalguna while on the ground. For example, he fired Brahmastra on Phalguna who countered it with his own Brahmastra. Phalguna fired Agneyastra on him, which he countered with Varunastra. At the end, he was unable to stop Phalguna's Anjalikastra, which beheaded him.

Karn is my favorite right and most sacrificed person in mahabharat...he was always great

Dont forget if someone just told Karna his royal identity, people would had themself made danveer Karna the king and hero of the entire earth (though he actually defeated all the kings like Jarasandh in digvijay yatra). Krishna also wanted Karna to rule entire earth and said Karna who controlled his senses is inconvincible in all three worlds

Karn was reincarnation of a asur who had 1000 kavachs and was almost killed by Rishi Nar (Arjun) when he ran to surya dev for help and was born as Karn where Arjun killed him. Excellent video. I think Karna and Dduryodhana were both victims of a self imposed, never ending, victim mentality. Karna had been dealt and unfortunate hand by providence during birth. He did overcome it rising to becoming a warrior and a king. But he continued to wallow in self pity. If we compare Karna to Krishna we see the difference. Krishna too was raised as a non royal, called names, had insults hurled at him for his lowly status, but he never wallowed in self pity, he took it all with a smile. Duryodhana is the typical "bechara", rich kid, spoilt with high aspirations, a huge ego and an inability to accept defeat sportingly. His ego is bolstered by his parents' inability. The friendship of karna and Duryodhana is indeed a friendship of doom. At the end of it, there is no black and white character in the Mahabharat, they are all full of shades of grey. It's the most fantastic mindblowing, blockbuster magnum opus ever.

I am surprised and shocked, although I always thought why didn't Karna stop Duryodhana from evil deeds since childhood because he was such a good person. We need to read our scriptures ourselves, should not follow what TV / Net series are showing us. Dronacharya asks for eklavya thumb not because of Arjun but because of different reason Eklavya was the son of general commander of magadha and was definitely gonna become next commander At that time magadha and hastinapur were enemies So if he taught eklavya and then his teaching would be used against hastinapur and that would be deshdroh It sounds unfair to some but to dronacharya who was very loyal towards hastinapur it was the only way

Karna was a rakshash in his past life, belongs to rakshas community. he was supposed to be killed by nar and Narayan i.e Arjun and Srikrishna. In previous birth he was blessed with a boon ,he misused the boon then it was decided as he was a very powerful warrior of valour,he would be killed by the 100th arrow of Nar& Narayan after demonstrating his valour so that he dies with respect but cunningly he escaped the last arrow. That was the arrow which beheaded him in Mahabharat and he got mukti from rakshas kul. His jealousy, pride killed him.

I think that was a slip of tongue because she was talking about karn. She also said karn instead of arjun in the video once. This podcast setup might be new for her. Her knowledge is so in depth and complex in comparison to the very basic questions the host is asking that she wants to say all the things that she has in her mind to clear out these outrageous misconceptions which probably led to this tiny slip up.

Ugrashravas shrouti is not sooth. In my limited knowledge of sanskrit shrouti means the one who listens. In those days the sages that wandered around telking stories were called Puranika. Because the stories they told were puranas i.e. history. Irrespective of the above, what is told about karna in the video is right to the last word.

learn sanskrit and read all but also travel in those places to look on folksongs over there. this is better than games of thrones . every character teach something instead looking up western history which is full crap . there are many things was actually never happened but there a metaphor used which today world we just put it was actually happened . one thing i clear they study in gurukul . today we dont understand what gurukul is . things changed a lot after invasion after 6/7th century .

Krishna himself chosen to be the sarathi!! The historical facts can be interpretted in multiple ways so who is right or wrong is not a big deal! But the path Karna chose was wrong and he should have rectified it through his karma! But what happened with Karna is also not right hence all those people who were directly or indirectly a part of his fate also suffered and that is KARMA...KARMA is the ULTIMATE DHARMA!!

i think we should stop taking sides.........every individual in mahabharata had its flaws....and that is the whole point of mahabharata..........we need to learn from the ethical dilemmas of every character and improve our life...instead of debating who was good, evil, loyal or strong. As far as over-glorification is considered, tv shows and movies will NEVER be able to do justice to epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. Its impossible to show everything, and some facts would be missed, which can give skewed perspective. Best is to read from original text whenever you get time. The guest in this podcast has done exactly this. More people should do this.

Karna was never responsible for mahabharat war. He was only loyal to duryodhana. While karna wanted respect, acknowledgement and fame, duryodhana took advantage of opportunity and made karna king of Ang desh.

And Yudhishthira was wrong once. He never said what he did was right. Rather he was the only one who repented on that days' action and not Karna. He never thought her to be his property. He lost his control after staying silent to all the tortures by Duryodhana and Karna for so long. He repented time and again. Accepted time and again that he was wrong. Guess what Karna does? Plans Ghosha Yatra and specifically says Duryodhana to bring his wife with him so that she could laugh at Draupadi. The so called great Karna. On the contrary, it was Yudhishthira again who sent to help Duryodhana from the Gandharvas when our "best friend" Karna left him to save himself. Why? Not just because Duryodhana was his cousin but also because Duryodhana had women in distress with him. And about caste issue? Again, it was Yudhishthira who diluted the caste issue. Yudhishthira cleared it infront of Nahusha, the Yaksha and even others noted. That Yudhishthira treated every human the same way. None was superior or inferior to him. If anyone was casteist, it was none other than the so called caste oppressed Karna.

Well, wasn't he a victim of society's dirt-ridden mind? Wasn't he robbed of all opportunities because of his caste? Well, then he was a victim. But yes, of course, one can't consider him a hero per se. He's done his share of sins due to spite and revenge...and because of his worst decision of partnering with Duryodhana. But I don't believe he was a narcissist. He did things for the sake of DUryodhana..a narcissist may not be able to do that...a narcissist rarely feel indebted to another person...for a narcissist the world revolves around him. For me Karna was neither a villain nor a hero, he was human. A complex character...from whatever I know.

Karna thought his whole life that the world has done injustice to him and one day he will show the whole world that he is the greatest warrior of all times. For Arjuna Whole life went into injustice, but yet arises everytime thinking that this time a new beginning will be created.

Vidura was good or bad..?

My point of view to see karna is soo different, karna face lots of problems in thier life , when you read "mrutyunjaya" which is written by shivaji sawant , then you realise who is karna actually.

Okay, but please explain the good side too where he donated without prejudice to his own doom. Where he promises to Kunti that she will always have her 5 sons. Where Krishna appreciates his calibre despite Hanuman ji and Sheshnag and Vishnu ji himself helping Arjun. How can a Parrshuram shishya be not worthy and valorous. I dont believe that Karna was less valorous or capable than any. He is also a real friend, knowing that Duryodhana is wrong, stuck with him for his kindness when no one else was kind. Even Bhishma Pitamah stuck to Duryodhana because of his vachan. This point has been made by Ami ji at a lot of places but she never explains it. Also, as per Ami ji, soot means son/daughter of brahmin and kshatriya. So, tell me how was saying that I am a brahmin putra was a lie told to Parshuram ji ??

Use bhi sut kaha jata hai. Un same bache ke successors sut se hi vivaah kar sakte hai. Toh ho sakta hai ke hundreds of years pehle sut ke ancestors ek Kshatriya purush aur Brahmin stree te

Well there is no point in blaming Karna he was just unlucky, obviously he made some mistakes, but the good thing is he made some efforts to be a good human being. But extreme cases broke his patience. We should better try to understand why he did those things.

Unlucky??He was raised by a rich Charioteer who was friend of Dritirashtra as well. He was very eveil. He was not strong as Arjun, even Satyaki, shishya of Arjun defeated Karna 7 times, Abhimanyu too defeated Karna. He eloped while fighting with Gandharvas, Arjun was the one who defeated Gandharvas and savas Kauravas.Go read actual texts. Being Sutputra was very common during those days. Sut was not considered a bad thing. It is nowdays portrayed as if he was discriminated and all nonsense stuff

@@Bhardwajshivbhakt Gandharvas led by Chitrasen defeated Duryodan and Karna. Karna ran away with remaining army from the batte field. Duryodan, brothers and their wives were captured. Then Arjun himself alone defeated all Gandharvas including Chitrasen. Arjun killed 10 lakh soldiers using a single shot of Agneyastra which no one have ever achieved.

@@Bhardwajshivbhakt LOL I have read. Karn defeated all Gandharvas Army at first. Then 2nd time Gandharvas again came, Chitrasen easily defeated Karna. Then other soldiers attacked Karna. Karna than fell on ground, he ran into Vikarna's Chariot and they elpoed from battlefield. Duryodhan, brothers and Shakuni was captured. Then Arjun came and defeated all Army easily including Chitrasen.

So basically this random lady ( idk who she is ), is literally misinterpreting those texts and that's outrageous, she is moulding those slokas' according to her will !

@@ankitparshewar8482 So you say that because the original manuscript is no longer available, literally anything could've happened in Mahabharata? Are you saying it could be true that Krishna was the evil one? Could it be true that Kamsa and Shakuni were the good guys? Where do you draw the line? Just because the serials you watch don't match what the granth says doesn't mean you call everyone who read these books as fools. Yes, the original manuscript may have been destroyed, but our Sanatani culture has always been a strong oral culture. Pandits in those times used to learn all vedas, upanishads and puranas byheart. The scripts that we have right now may be a condensed version that summarizes the original one. But this doesn't mean that your beloved Karna was suddenly a good guy and Arjuna was the bad guy.

These are your specific words: " no one can claim that this the real story because in there times there not video recordings or anything to prove" Which is why I am asking you again. How much of it are you willing to change to satisfy your ego about Karna? Are you going to call Draupadi a vesya? Are you going to call Phalguna a 'napunsak'? Are you going to say Krishna, who literally called Karna a wicked man, wrong? My point is: if you are going to pick and choose what to believe in because 'the original manuscript is gone', then where do you draw the line?

If you read the KMG version, it's mentioned twice. Once by Vyasa in the first chapter of Adi parva. And once by Krishna in Udyoga Parva.

I think Karana's character is not as simple as that . Krishna himself confessed Karna as scholar of shastra and like Drona , Bheesma Karna also knew he would be died in battle , he told it to Krishna . And he was really loyal friend who accepted death over betray And he himself confessed all of his mistake like unnecessarily he misbehaved pandavs ,And speare Yudhishthir according to his vow to his mother . And definitely he be a worthy worrier putting stiff resistance against Arjuna in final battle

If he was such a loyal friend that chose his friend over everything he would have never promised anything to kunti. Or gave his kavach, when he was already fore warned. He even stayed out of the war for 10days because he didn't want 'credit of his valour' to go Bhishma. About krishna confessing, he said those words because Arjun was getting arogant. He didn't want Arjun to be so full of himself and bring his own doom, which is what duryodhan did.

In Krishna Karna Samvad lord krishna said that circumstances were against both of them but he chose dharma whereas Karna chose adharma.

Aap ko galat information mila hai Ami mam. Shuru mein aap sahi keh rahe hai ki 'varn' ek frame work hai aur uske neeche kahi saari jaatiyan hai jo ganm ke aadhar par tai hona tha. Par Karn ke case me prataarna hua hai. Kaise? Mai bata deti hui. Sansaar ke suruvaat mai sif 4 varn the aur log sif apne hi varn me shaadi kar sakte te. Yeh rule Brahma ji ke maanas putr aur devi Sati ke pita Daksh ne banaya ta taki shrishti ko balance bana rahe. Samay beet jane par log vidroh karne aur apne varn ke bahar shaadi karne lage. You know love marriages!.......Par great scholars ne logon ke man ko rakne aur society me balane ko mantain karne keliye ye niyam ko thoda modify kiya.Voh naya niyam ye te ki women of lower caste or varna can marry men of higher caste or varna. (Hypergamous marriage). This type of marriage was not advocated but tolerated and can be accepted by people.This is called Anuloma marriage in hindu scriptures. But a marriage between men of lower caste or varna and women of upper caste and varna (i.e the exact opposite)can not happen. (Hypogamous marriage).This is called Pratiloma marriage. Not only this type of marriage was frowned upon but they had to bear severe backlash from the society. Even thir children were not spared. Their future generations would be face humilations and backlashes. They will be known as outcasts. Their children would be called Sutas. So sut jaati was a jati that came under this Pratiloma union. Hence they did face prataarna......... Karn was raised by suta parents so he was considered an outcaste in the society. These rules were not very strict at the time of Yayati's and Devyani's time but in Karna's time and especially at Hastinapur they were prominant. No sut were allowed to take up arms cause they were given the job of driving chariots and taking care of horses by the society. They were considered and loocked down upon worse than shudras which was the lowest of varnas. Pratiloma unions were held responsible for the degeneration of the parties involved subsequent to the union. Karn wanted to change this law. He wanted to fight for the respect of sutas. And second thing Ugrashava sauti was the son of a Kshatriya pita and Brahmin mother not the son of a suta couple. Only their children were called suta. Not the people who married. So Ugrashrava even though a suta had some respect because as I said said he is not the son of a suta couple balki his father was a Kshatriya and mother a Brahmin both of which are higher castes. But in the xase of Karna he was thought to be a son of suta where hundreds of years back his ancestors were Kshatriya purish and Brahmin stree, where after that generation all married from the sut caste. I hope you got my point cause I don't know if I can explain it in a more simpler way. The example of Krishn. He was not a sut. Everyone knew that. He was just being his friend Arjun's charioteer for 18 days during 5mthe Mahabharat war. It's not like he had to leave his kingly title and be a sut forever. This is Krishna's mahanta. Any other person in Krishna's place would have been ashamed to act as a charioteer for a few days. Look at Shalya for example. But Krishna was a simple and down to earth person. He had no arrogance. You are right. Sarathi ko yudh neethi, warfare stratergi ki samaj, yudh bhumi ki samaj sab gyat honi chahiye. Isliye sutas were given importance but not respect. Sirf zaroorath ti and they do not even value them. And Keechak's mother was a sut but father was a Kshatriya so it's and Anuloma union. This was accepted by society.

Aaj ki date mein Kayasth, Bhumihaar, Rai aisi castes hain Jo ki Brahmin Kshatriya ki hybrid castes Hain. Aur bahot sammaaniya castes Hain.

We are listening to her version only, before making any opinion ,everyone should read Mahabharat by oneself. Khud parke dekhna chahiae.naki duaro ki bast sunna chahiae. She did not mention about Raja Dhupad and Dronacharya s' equation.... Even Sakunis charecter Mahabharat is very complicated . All characters have flaws.

Studious presentation .... Maharshi Vyas has not glorified any character in his Mahabharat ... lateron the authors have written as per their imaginations and liking ... glorification of any chosen character has been a marketing strategy for their imaginary writings ...

I Cannot completely agree with this respectful lady. 1.Imagine someone who is a son of Surya Dev, then for a person of such vibrant energy, being called Suta is derogatory. He may not know he is a Surya Putra. But he definitely has and can feel that vibrant energy and temper inside of him. 2.If Suta is not a derogatory remark compared to Kshatriya, then why Kripacharya stops Karna from competing against Kshatriya Arjun in the Rangamahal. 2b. If being Suta is not less than being a Kshatriya, then why Draupadi rejects Karna giving the narrative that he was a Sutaputra and not a Kshatriya. 2c. If Suta is not a lower class compared to Kshatriya, then why Drupad tells Duryodhana and Angaraj Karna that they should have known the rules of Swayamvar and Karna should not have participated in the first place becoz he was Sutaputra. What do you mean when you say he gave away his kawach and kundal and got Shakti Astra in return?? So far I know, he just gave his kawach & kundal becoz he was asked to do so when he couldn't deny and received Shakti Astra as a gift. It was not an exchange offer like you are trying to portray. 3. It is said that after being killed Mahabharata, Karna achieves a position higher than anyone else in after life. Does that mean that the devine entity that awarded Karna this position was less knowledgeable and had a poor sense of justice compared to Miss Ganatra. 4. Krishna himself has praised Karna in Kurukshetra compared to Arjun during Arjun-Karna duel. Does that mean Miss Ganatra's interpretation is better than Krishna himself. Sorry Madam, but such remarks against Karna in your podcasts and books will definitely benefit the views and sales. However, it is difficult to believe that Karna was a bad guy like you wish to portray.

i am very sorry, but this wasnt introduced by b r chopra ji. he had never said anything like that. i'm not talking about the serial . i am talking about the real mahabharata, from where this story was taken. and gandharvas werent tribals like they showed in the serial. they were celestials, and their king was maharaj chitrasen, who was the arjun's best friend and had taught him dance and music. they had come to attack duryodhan because they knew why duryodhan had gone there, to mentally torture the pandavas. this si the real story, not what they showed in b r chopra ji's mahabharat. kindly read the mahabharat first. this is part of the epic. karna was a coward, its proven hence@@satishkamtikar958

Karna ke paas shastra the. Bhumi par khade hokar bhi unhone Phalguna ke saath yudh kiya. Shraap ke karan karna ko uss prakar ‘niradhar’ (radh-heen) hokar marna pada.

Shikhandi, the slayer of Bhishma, roamed around fearlessly and countered Karna with his arrows. Countered, Karna’s lips quivered in rage. He struck Shikhandi between his eyebrows with three arrows. With those arrows stuck there, Shikhandi looked exceedingly beautiful. He was like a silver mountain with three peaks. In the battle, having been thus grievously struck by the son of a suta in the encounter, he pierced Karna with ninety sharp arrows. Karn failed to counter arrows of many warriors.
