Achilles np which is arguably the most broken defensive np in fateverse (of course I'm not counting Avalon). 5. Frans ability or np that allows sieg to spam balmug.

They don't know how Karna was actually defeated in Mahabharat. He was too OP so many curses and unfairness had to be imposed to defeat him. This fight reminded me of that hence it was so good, it shows how strong karna is. You stopped watching to not accept the fact that karna was portrayed to be invincible just as he was in original mythology.

Just like in his legend, Karna gave up Kavacha and Kundala (his armor) for Vasavi Shakti. Therefore, he couldn't stop Sieg's sword.

He could definitely react to it. For some reason he turned off his mana burst and just let seig stab him. Not to mention that he wa stabbed with numerous stakes all through his chest and body by Vlad and it did nothing to him. Yet this sword finished him? Plot stupidity

@@skychieftain if you might think this is plot armor, its not really classified as plot armor because its in the lore of karna to always lose to an equal opponent not because he is overpowered its actually the opposite his opponents always used underhanded ways to win due to the curse of sage pasharam. his death in arjuna's bow is mainly attributed to arjuna's father tricking karna to give him the armor because with the armor karna can't be killed because anyone who break the armor will deffinitely die... he only die because lord krishna also intervene. I guess this is also because of his bad karma from his previous incarnation.

Karna’s last attack forced him to let go of his divine armor its a fact throughout the fate universe it’s an all or nothing attack.

The point is Sieg only "won" because of Astolfo wit the borrowed shield and this type of plot armor on him was happening since the start of the show, so I understand they dropping on this part

If they lost interest in this completely, then what's the point of watching it ? Just because the whole fandom (Including myself) loves Jeanne, it dosen't mean that well-others can't dislike her. They no longer want to watch it, so maybe repect their decision ? We watch anime to enjoy it, and if we don't get the desired enjoyment out of it, then we drop that anime. It okay to do so. If you wanna watch others who appriciate this more, then there are always other reaction channels lol.

It's the way they handled this situation and also because karna was bound to be one of the servants not to win this war simply because he wasn't important to the story. The way they responded was quite childish and yes the story has its flaws. But the viewers also take their time to watch THEM. Watching 25 episodes. And especially I as an old patreon member, paying them for what they do. Being all excited they watch fate and then suddenly pulling something like this while I actually spend money on them. That's what's wrong with this situation

Karna might have lost but he sure as hell went out with fireworks, such a great hero, there is definitly still a lot of great parts left like Mordred and shakespeare. Fate always has a way to kill characters you love, that is what it means to fight to the dead

​@@skychieftain both karna n sieg had plot armor in this fight. 1. sieg has 4 different people helping him He has huge mana reserves as a homunculi Frankenstein allows him to spam NPs, an NP from a variant of one of the most popular swords in history. Help from Ruler And a shield that generates a world(perfect counter for vasavi shakti) 2. No master is casually able to supply karna with enough mana to fight with his full arsenal. He was spamming NPs just as casually as sieg Ive seen u talk abt how vlad pierced karna, just like siegfried himself, despite having impenetrable armor, he can still be wounded just not fatally. so when the armor was shed for his ultimate move he was vulnerable, vulnerable. 3. youre misunderstanding karna as a character both in fate and in the epic mahabharata. most servants dont die pleasantly especially karna, having a chance to finally utilize his full power and have some stand equally to him in willpower and not being overwhelmed is a great conclusion for him. not to mention him almost winning a 1v5 basically stands as a testament to his strength. 4. achilles would beat karna in a 1 on 1 purely being a counter and more skilled than karna. karna summoned as an archer might have different results

to be fair, karna took off his armor in that last attack, thats why sieg was able to hurt him. i didn really understand why all that hate for jeanne and now to sieg lol, of course he was going to win he was the mc, and the explanation wasnt all that bad. about the grand order ones, keep in mind that they are a game adaptation, the mc is suposed to be kind of bland since he is a self insert for the player, but other then that, the movies are really good. (also, you probably know this already, but they skip around 4-5 singularities on the movies, so if it seems like something is missing thats probably why, but it is still very enjoyable)

if you read the LN you'd actually know Sieg didn't win because he was the MC he won because Siegfried at that instance literally forced himself into the Realm of God's due to how good his sword play was(most saber class servants fight in the realm of mortals if they don't have any divinity and even then they have to be near perfect in sword play). Karna wanted to fight him because he noticed that he was capable of fighting in the same Realm that he does also why he couldn't keep his eyes off him enough to notice astolfo.

There was more of Shirou's mindgames with Gilgamesh that played the part,Shirou already knew how to defeat him.Sure Ea was a surprise but he knew he's not gonna pull it off a second time.(He pulled it off a second time becuase he actually got scared for a moment but he hesitated long enough for Shirou to cut him arm off).Here it was a pure contest of strength and they could not fight for long,also most of Karna's abilities was a mistery for Sieg so he had to pull through it.There was series of coincidences that allowed Sieg to win,he didn't thought this through.

Don't get me wrong Karna is one of my fav servants especially is archer form but their bias and crying is just dumb and to drop the whole show 2 ep before the imo really good ending is even dumber hence why i unsubbed on all their accounts cause I can expect them to do this again.

Nothing about Shirou beating Gilgamesh makes sense. Can Shirou magically fly and levitate too? Like he did all over that fight. A marble made by a weak human mage, untrained at that, that gives him the ability to go not only toe to toe, but somehow defeat a seasoned warrior from the age of gods. Fueled by “I want to be a hero” Please. Plot armor with poor writing to get a win, with the excuse of “he didn’t use Ea” …the reality is, he could have killed Shirou with his bare hands, Ea was never needed, except for a plot armor and poor writing excuse.

Hope they do not drop the grand order part 😭 that's where the game heat up the most

@@derpderp283 it's bad writen but it is not plot armor, it is said in the story why karna lose. the other thing they say about the story is true, like jeanne not letting amakusa do his wish for bullshit motives, but the reason they drop the anime is "plot armor" and I wouldn't say that the problem here. (I am not saying the should keep watching, if they can't keep up the anime, they should drop the anime) we have a explanation of why they survived, we also know why achilles gives to them that power. He doesn't say in world, but we see that his respect for chiron, and he gives the shield just before he basically betrays his faction, so it makes sense, at least for me. thats not plot armor, this is the story building up a way for a character winning an unlike match, if you consider this a plot armour, than 99% of all story is plot armour (although, again, karna should not be happy about it, the writer should give another way to give the shield to sieg without astolfo entering in the middle of the fight, it would be way more reasonable if they get it before the fight, then it would fix one of the problem, from my point of view)

Vijaya is never a threat for everyone who have read Mahabharata. All fancy thing it has was mentioned by Karna himself and Sanjaya, never by the big names in warfare like Bhisma. According to Krishna, the only thing that will stop Arjuna from winning/will be the cause of his death are Karna's armour and Vasavi Shakti.

@@izukara4310 nope lol. Karna knocked Arjuna out and made him drop Gandiva. That's when he focused on lifting his chariot. So Krishna woke Arjuna up and forced him to kill Karna while he is distracted. In reality Karna was cancelling Arjuna's Brahmastra using normal arrows so he was never a threat until he became unarmed. Bhisma didn't know karna had Vijaya. In fact he didn't even want karna to enter the fight just to stall the fight. Did you forget that Krishna saved Arjuna from the snake arrow in the same fight?

If they enjoyed Shirou beating Gilgamesh, they can’t rant about plot armor in this one XD

@@Benimaruabenihime But it's delivered in an actually believable way in UBW I think the fatal flaw with the karna v sieg fight for a lot of people is they do a REALLY bad job explaining what exactly was going on to allow sieg to clench it. Siegfried is a dragon slayer (fire resistant), and Karna is all fire. Frank heart mega power/NP booster, Sieg magical circuits AND a command spell limit break, Astolfo using Achilles Shield that is "an entirely different world," so in essence, Vasavi Shakti was blocked by a world (and vasavi shakti is matched by that). If you can't juggle all of that in your head BEFORE watching the fight (which you literally don't even know all of this while watching it, since the Frank reveal is in the next fight) and you're big into Fate (and know how strong Karna is), then this fight sticks in your craw

​​@@terribletimmy2 I disagree. The same can be said in UBW. You have to multiple things in your head(if you know them) with Shirou vs Gilgamesh too. Shirou gains the skill level of the person who's weapon he's copying("my world of infinite swords couldn't stand up to someone who had *mastered* just one"). Shirou's weapons can be called forth faster, strengthened, moved in all directions, and re-summoned. Shirou has already faced one enemy with the same strategy as Gilgamesh(Archer Emiya) whose strategy is similar(summon weapons and hurl at him). Gilgamesh being too cocky to pull Ea. Gilgamesh being too cocky to even use his Clairvoyance, which could grant him Mastery over his weapons, and thus defeat Shirou. Etc etc etc. If this fight was "plot armor", so too is Shirou vs Gilgamesh. Both had hidden elements that you'd have to know the lore and backstory to understand.

What did they not finish it??

nah, I can't be with you on this one guys! I understand that Karna is all cool and makes reference to the hindu lore but you can't watch a shounen expecting the MC to die just because you like his opponent more. Being dissatisfied with the result is fair but dropping a show towards the end because it didn't go the way you wanted to? nah, that's childish!

They pinpoint how Karna lost cause of plot armer when literally it was Achilles shield that made an opening for Sieg to strike at Karna. Also the fact that karna was not wearing his armor when he got strike. Lots of character in this show has a lot of very cheap deaths. Good examples are Diarmuid in zero, rider in ubw and Gil literally getting swallowed twice by the grail in ubw and Hf. I understand why ppl would be upset about their character not winning but calling this victory plot armor is a little over the top. They have no clue what Achilles shield is capable and it’s abilities.

​@@noname-wk5bd what nonsense. Up until the fight no one even knew that Achilles had a shield. He was never shown to carry it anywhere in the anime. How convenient to just bring the shield at the last moment and have it do exactly what the plot required it to. Also the whole explanation for The shield stopping VS is BS because VS is described to be able to destroy bounded fields without hesitation yet this shield (which is a bounded field) could stop it? Why even hype VS if the writers just wanted to contradict it in the next sentence? Lastly, Karna healed for much greater damage by Vlad skewering him. A tiny sword stab ain't gonna do nothing to him. Yet he dies? The whole anime is literally the writer disrespecting Karna's powerset.

If they didn't like how the Karna fight ended (I don't either) then odds are they are going to hate the final fight. It's unquestionably more BS since Sieg, even with Fran's effects buffing him, should get SLAUGHTERED by Amakusa.

1. Writer Servants has some sort of crazy ability to alter something. Shakespeare for example, has been known as an author of tragedic stories, so that's one of his ability as a Servant. He wrote whatever is amusing for himself, and it's usually revolved around tragedies. You could say that the whole Spartacus shenanigans was caused by him alone. 2. Vasavi Shakti requires Karna to sacrifice his armour, that's why he is easier to kill after that.

Eps 22 Karna was basically a Grail-backed Karna where he can go all out without care, take it or leave it. No one is nerfed in this episode, aside from the 3 minute rule.

One of the best fights of the series is in episode 23. The music. The animation. The battle was worth watching at least until the next episode.

I don't understand what made them and people so mad over Apocrypha I'm also a big fan of Karna but I'm also a fan of mythological stories and a good fair fight, while I know normally Karna would definitely win but it'll be only a one sided fight Karna vs Sieg, under normal circumstances Sieg has no chance to even equally stand besides Karna, but to be able to make Karna go all out, as a Karna fan that's what make me like the fight Plus Karna also satisfied with the fight so why would I complain?? Well the best way for the fight would be to not make karna go all out, but have him unable to defeat seig until the timer is out so he doesn't win but doesn't lose at the same time. Why? Because karna's attacks can literally end Seig even though he had transformed into Seigfried. Every one of them. The fact that Seig takes it without dying is disrespectful to karna's powerset.

vasavi shakti karnas greatest attack is a spear gifted to him by the tunder god indra after stripping himself of his armor to fight his half brother out of respect for the hindo priest. indra found it such an honorabole deed that he gave him the spear in compensation. its never been used in battle but fate made the spear being able to literaly sun

the only reason sieg could stab karna is because whenever karna uses his noble phantasm(the huge lance he used) he is ripped of his armor which is grants him the invincibility and when he is stripped of it he has lost ability to stop the attacks in that form all he could do is attack as his entire defences are left open

Imagine crying over this and then going to watch Fairy Tail. Kinda contradictory

Hey just thought I should bring up that Karna's loss wasn't just plot armor for the main character. It is part of the curse he has in his legend. He is cursed to forget all of his training at a crucial moment in a life or death battle with a deadly opponent. It's how he lost to Arjuna in his story

@@ShubhamSharma-ow7jn that true Vaisavi Shakti can kill God because anti-divine and anti-heaven, one might say that Vasavi Shakti is like the Chain of Heaven Enkidu, but had a different way of working, if Vasavi Shakti was a god-slaying weapon, then Chain of Heaven was a weapon meant to restrain Gods, to be honest Vasavi Shakti's attack wasn't a normal attack that could be countered by normal defense, but Achilles' shield was a special case. specifically where the shield can duplicate a world, so actually Vasavi Shakti's attack is not blocked by the shield but redirected by the shield. I agree the outcome of this fight was a little disappointing, but it was still a cool fight, and there have been other cool fights in recent episodes that you have said yourselves you enjoyed, and there are cool fights to come. What a let down, they didn’t even get to see who the actual bad guys were, especially after giving so much hate to ruler they didn’t realize how much of a monster Shirou was. Dropping a series right at the end just because your favorite hero of your culture was defeated? Talk about sore loosers, don’t forget plot armor exists in every anime, where was this hate when Shirou defeated Gilgamesh in UBW, obviously plot armor. Or where was this hate when so many unsatisfactory things happened in fate zero? They also missed the epic fight of Saber vs assassin.

Soooo, the vasavi shakti was gifted by indra after Karna gave him his armour as a donation/gift (Indira disguised hmself as a brahmin and asked for Karna'a armour as a a tribute so he could protect his son Arjun). So every time Karna summons Vasavi shakti, his armor falls off, you can see that in the animation that Karna's armour transforms into vasavi shakti. As an Indian who has read mahabharata I can elaborate more. But this is the gist. Also, Karna was cursed by his teacher Parshuram (coz he lied that he was a warrior) that he will forget his skills in his greatest hour of need. Those two factors combined in the final fight gave Seig the plot armour he needed to win. We see the curse come into affect as he is trying to burn the dracula/vampire inside the castle. In the end we see Karna is surprised that the hero's shield produced a whole new world, its because vasavi shakti is destroyer of worlds. So that synthetic world sort of took the brunt of vasavi shakti, letting the real world/planet to stand and therefore both the heroic spirits could keep on fighting at an even playing field. Hope this helps you a bit to understand that the outcome was not ambiguously biased.

Karna had to give up his armor to release the spear's true name. Since the NP is an anti world NP, once it destroyed the world in the shield it ceased.

I totally understand being upset about Karna being defeated, Sieg has some crazy plot armor, but he's the MC, you had to have known this was how it was going to go. On the note on Karna having his golden armor which makes him invulnerable, in order for him to use Vasavi Shakti, he must sacrifice that armor. You guys are so close to finishing the show, I hope you'll finish it. Pretty silly to drop it at this point.

@@Eshelion nope. Sometimes things get way too annoying to watch. I understand that they're 90% there already but the story is all over the place so i doubt they would be able to connect plot lines anyway. Besides, the ruler and seig thing is getting irritating

​@@sparkfuse1379 Akhilleus Kosmos can block Anti-Unit, Anti-Army, Anti-Divine, Anti-Fortress and Anti-Country Noble Phantasms. And Vasavi Shakti is an Anti-Divine NP, furthermore Vasavi Shakti only targets a "single entity" which is the key factor in Akhilleus Kosmos being able to block it.

​@@Shadow977 except that VS is known as anti-existence in the source material. It is specifically stated to destroy BOUNDED FIELDS in its description. For reference, Akilleus Kosmos is a bounded field. See the plot Armor

Whatever the heroes were according to their myths and legends, holy grail war is mainly mana based - if hero is godlike, but his skills require a lot of mana and his master is shitty, he ain't winning nothing. More phantasms usually equals more skills and more mana. And don't forget command spells are also a big mana boost (that's why Sieg's power got boosted after his command spell). Even though Karna could 1v1 most of other heroic spirits given same amount of mana, he wasn't fighting 1v1 here, it was at least 1v3, that's why he lost (+ the fact he wanted to defeat Saber in his time limit, not just to win by mana drain and Siegfried turning off, resulting in him throwing his armor off). Kinda got tricked like Achilles by his teacher getting shot after he disabled his NP. I understand not liking some things and plot parts in the show, I didn't like Sieg, but still disagree with dropping it when being at 80%+ of it for that reason (especially with acting like fanboy without trying to even thing about NPs power; there is no true immortality in this Fate, only fake ones, and only working on proper mana supply, same as "protection" skills - herc bers, golems or Zero caster's monster, Cu Chulain's protection from projectiles). However annoyance caused by some characters (Jeanne, Sieg) and set mindset (Shirou's wish is good - btw c'mon, you've seens enough of fate already to know grail's way of work will produce tragic results for such wish) was visible for at least several episodes now. Edit: ok, this baby rage at the end was golden - knowing who is is mc and still making it not only because he's mc but just because it's 1v3-5 (depending what we decide to count) and still ranting about it - rotfl. And rage against Jeanne rules kinda taking sides while one side has ruler staightforward supporting it since start - it's plain stupid.

Archer Vs Lancer is such a GREAT fight sequence!!

Apocrypha is far from being perfect but dropping the series just because your favorite servant loses is kinda weird. Imo they really did Karna justice here with the portrayal of his power and his loyalty to the masters. They've shown that Siegfried is capable enough to fight Karna 1 on 1 in earlier episodes so i dont get what's the fuss about. The way Karna loses his armor after using Vasavi shakti is accurate to the mythology too

@@MrThecrazyzombie in the source material in Karna's first fight with Seigfried, Karna's normal spear strikes were enough to damage Seigfried even with the Armor of fafnir reduction. It was pure armed combat without explosions but Seigfried needed Gordes to heal him in order to continue fighting. In the second fight, it is clear that a single hit from Karna would be enough to end the fight, even though seig has Armor of fafnir as the negation isn't enough to stop him from getting burnt off or heavily injured. So all these attacks that Karna lands in the anime are individually enough to finish the fight. His eye beam by definition would never miss the target so seig dodging it is like saying Seig dodged Gae Bolg. In the source material, karna only uses VS in the final fight and no other NPs because the author knew that those other attacks would have defeated the MC and the story would end.

@@skychieftain that's exactly my point. All of the stuff that you said are nitpicks, not actual writing flaws. Karna IS stronger than Siegfried, but he's not some sort of a god that can instantly obliterate any servants with a single thought. Underdogs beating stronger opponents is a pretty common trope, so It's not in the realm of impossibility for Siegfried to fight and beat Karna with help. Also those complaints would be legit if they apply to the anime as well, but they're not. We've seen in the anime that Siegfried can fight Karna and Karna can be injured in his fight with Vlad. If he can suddenly destroy Siegfried that easily, that would be asspull

Well Bashavi Shakti for Karna in fate was extinction. I think it was "Oh sun abide death" it was how one way people depicts the world shall end. By our own sun. So Karna wasn't kidding when he said those words.

Just gonna say that Apocrypha has a somewhat infamous reputation because of Sieg, and a lot of the bullshit he pulls off. While on one hand, it's hypocritical that they continue to support Fairy Tail despite this, their reactions to the crap that happens are actually perfectly reasonable.
