Holy shit - that was beyond awesome (coming from a recording engineer/musician). The scene, the solar power, the music - everything. What fuckface would dislike this video?

This is so sick. My buddy and I recorded my guitar cab outdoors on his property, to avoid sound reflections in rhe small-ish room we were recording in (just ranall the cables out the window lol....good to go!) It, VERY honestly, was THE BEST guitar sound I have yet to record. For multiple reason. Not just because there were ZERO sound reflections that way but because he had property, so we could crank the amp up to it's maximum potential and get a phenomenal sound out of it! We just protected against wind and cranked that shit up as loud as possible, amazing sound! It provides a completely sterile atmosphere if you can protect against wind properly and especially if you have access to properly where you can crank the amp up. The amp will literally BLOW the wind away with it's extreme volume and sound projection lol People bitch about the wind like it will completely ruin the recording. I can tell you, 100% from experience, that the wind will do ABSOLUTELY nothing at that volume. Playing with the volume at 8-10 on a marshal 4x12! I can assure you that NO wind is getting through those sonic explosions happening every millisecond hahaha. It is physically impossible for the wind to penetrate that literal "wall of sound". Each time you hit a note it is essentially a sonic explosion pushing against any wind attempting to come your way. NOW, I am of course talking within reason. This is just a regular day, with regular wind. Would I do it and gurantee results on a true "windy day", no! But on a standard jolly afternoon, hell yeah, do it! I don't know if I would do vocals outdoors but a LOUD as F$$$ Guitar cab, shit yeah! Awesome video guys and fantastic sound! I love that you actually used the acoustic properties of the outdoor locations to your advantage, pretty brilliant!

love it! i wonder what the logistics of the solar powering are. the vid shows some things, but nothing between the panel and the recording gear (unless i missed something). anyway i hope this starts a new trend!
