Mein Vater hatte in den 60 er jahren auch ein VW Caraman Gia gehabt. Er war Rot mit schwarzen Dach.. Da mit hatte er meine Mutter kennen gelernt. ❤❤❤❤😊😊

I've loved 2 Ghias in my life, and had longings for them all, but this is the nicest I have seen. A beautiful work of mechanical art. The sound is music to me. TY for sharing.

Beautiful car. Love that you kept the look vintage. Kind of a sleeper. Not over done. Very nice. You need a 5 speed gear box! LOL I had a 1970 Ghia. Loved it.

I have a 69 1/2 Ghia. Just getting the engine rebuilt now. Already completed the interior except the door panels. It's coming along.

Man I am liking what you did with that 1600, I have been thinking about a bigger engine for my 64 Ghia, got a lot of 1600 engines but have yet to supercharge one. Looks like there is good room to fit that in on the Ghia, would love to have a parts list to start obtaining. Guess I'll start looking into it. Like the tach set up too instead of a clock. Great build

I saw one with an air cooled 911 engine at a car show once. Would be an expensive conversion though.

This is a nicely modified Karmann Ghia, it looks original but has a supercharger on the engine. Also I noticed that the tachometer is a modified Volkswagen miles per hour speedometer that looks like it is part of the instrument panel. With much greater power output there are two other things that should be modified. The engine needs to be rebuilt with stronger parts and the transaxle needs to be rebuilt with stronger parts so that these two things will last and not fail prematurely because of the increased power and torque.
