太后感覺就是在保護如懿～ 畢竟不能讓後宮一人坐大， 只好先讓如懿進冷宮以待來日！ 不然～ 皇后的富察氏會太過強盛🤔🤔🤔 權宜之計～ 喜歡鄔君梅的演技：）

The scary thought is that it's the Dowager Empress, who at this stage doesn't quite hate Ruyi, but doesn't particularly like her either. She's basically trying to prevent an injustice (Ruyi being killed though guiltless) while at the same time eliminating an eyesore, AND preventing her son from severe heartache. A scary but wise move that satisfies the offending side, preserves the innocent's life for the time being AND offers a chance for the future. The Dowager really knows how to play!

Of course she know. She's winner from previous game and she's already faced many person, from innocent, cruel, and two-faced. If you don't know, Empress Dowager is main character in the series called "Empresses of the Palace." In that series, Empress Dowager was still concubine.

I actually did not know until like 2 weeks ago or so... I'm kind of curious as to how she is the "winner" if Ula-nala was the empress, but I'm not going to submit myselfto another series that's probably 70+ eps long right now. Is it the same actress? Also, an addendum: Concubine Jia also is very good at this game.... at least in the beginning of this series... ^^

@@kailisis_sweetwinter Ulanara was empress but she confined in Jinreng Palace. In other hand, Xi Guifei (Empress Dowager's title as concubine) became de facto harem leader because she's the highest ranking consorts after the Empress. And she's who became empress dowager in the end. And about actress. No, they're potrayed by different actress. But Ruyi series actually was sequel of Empresses of the Palace.

Empress Dowager knew it wasn’t Ruyi and didn’t want someone who would kill a royal child to get away!

Of all the people, Arou should be the last person to try gaining Emperor’s favor. So stupid. Ruyi would have given her a good husband and wealth.

Ruyi was the best mistress to have. That's why even after Suoxin was able to escape the Forbidden City, she came back to serve when she could. Ruyi never would've sold out one of her maids like Langhua did. Aruo was way to loud and arrogant for her position and allied herself with the wrong people. Even if he hadn't been close to Ruyi, his opinion of Aruo would've been low after what she did. She thought becoming a First Attendant meant something, but he put a huge target on her back on purpose. Her allies looked down on her while simultaneously being jealous of her becoming favored.

Had Arou continued to act polite and cordial she would have lasted far longer.

Trash only knows how to be trash. A'Ruo was always too arrogant, shortsighted and greedy. She definitely never considered the only reason she lasted as long as she did even as a servant was because of Ruyi's sentimental nature. Anyone else would have lost patience and likely had her caned to death.

@@ingasparrow True she was extremely short sighted. Whatever she achieved wasn't even through her dirty work, it was all handed to her for a greater purpose by others. She is a pawn and will always be one.

Empress Dowager has a built in BS detector. She’s basically saying: “Yo I already know Ruyi didn’t do this, but you can’t help her now. Everything points to her. They set her up and gonna keep coming for her till she’s dead. Send her to the cold palace for now, bide your time, and continue your investigation on the low.” It’s funny how Empress Dowager claims that she don’t like Ruyi, but she defends her every time and she’s looking out for her too.

She disliked Ruyi because of her aunt. Once Ruyi declared her loyalty to the empress dowager, she started seeing Ruyi for Ruyi and not her aunt. Empress Dowager realized Ruyi truly loved the emperor and was not in it for the power. She realized how rare love was in the palace.

@@katherinkeegan8601 She warned Ruyi that loving the Emperor wasn't in her best interest but appreciated that she wasn't with him to disrupt the harem or abuse her power. Towards the end, Ruyi admits she was right about playing the game instead of following her heart. Ling told the Emperor no one in the harem really loved him (none of the remaining consorts anyway), and the only person who did love him was treated badly. She was evil but had a point. The ones who were just out for themselves and their families survived. If Jia could've reigned herself in, she would've lasted even longer. Same for Chun.

They had to send Ruyi to the cold palace to protect her. Everyone was out to get her life.

He didn't do any of this to save ruyi. When he finds out who really framed her he hides it and doesn't punish her. He is the worst.

@BlackVenus yes he did what he had to do to protect himself not ruyi. All he does in this series is hurt ruyi, over and over again. He always believes others over her, allowing a girl who killed multiple children to gain power(ling). He even let her take over the harem at one point after he knew she had killed one child and it's mother. Yeah he punished her for a little bit but then let her rise again. That's why in my opinion I feel like he never really loved and he never really protected her.

I tend to look at things with my modern eyes and think of things with my modern thinking( I don't mean this as me thinking I'm better but it's hard to place myself in the past and think about things the way the would have. Plus this is an entirely different culture then i am use to). I also haven't seen this series in full, just the little clips like this one.
