People make the 12th house look so bad. I have Mercury and Sun in the 12th house and I couldn't be more grateful to have it. Hear me out, this is not about me but rather to help 12th houseRS out there. I have this placement and I have suffered a great deal since being a child.. sun is my atmakaraka and placed with mercury in virgo... I have crazily manifested the whatever I wished for like my spouse and my kid.. I found a remedy for this, I took bodhisattva vows which is vowing to reincarnate even if you get enlightened for the benefit of all beings. It helped w the aspect of preservation.

What if I have sun, rahu, and mercury in Leo in my 7th house? I don’t follow other people, but I have noticed that I can be overpowered and taken over by them very easily. And I do come from an abusive upbringing, so I needed to do a lot of work in order to forge and connect to a semblance of my sense of self much later than most people because my upbringing never allowed or accepted my truth, or anything else about me, for that matter. I have previously been very prone to self sacrifice, and compulsively putting everyone else’s needs above mine, but I thankfully don’t do that anymore after spending years reprogramming my codependency. I'm a Scorpio rising conjunct with Ketu, I've a stellium in the 8th house including the Sun there and the Moon in exact opposition, and the more I see about Vedic astrology the more the Western system seems lacking. Not saying it is totally wrong but it seems oversimplified and less deep in comparison to Vedic. I wish someone could recommend a good book on Vedic astrology, I'd really appreciate it.

Agreed! This is a very limited notion of 12th house. It is often seen in the charts of therapists, successful/famous actors and can confer a lot of creativity. Sun in 12th means your personality or true self is sublimated into career or public identity. People don’t always see the person for who they are, but the roles they play.

I have Sun in Magha Nakshatra in 12th house and I could not really feel like it was resonating with me. I am shining in a foreign country and basically what I feel is that 12th house Sun can burn all your financial debts that you have because it aspects the 6th house. Loss of debt is still a loss but a gain in reality. I could not resonate really with their discussion.
