As an African it hits different. I feel like my tribe is represented in these tunes..very powerful ..I can feel the African spirit calling....side note this tune was also used when we were faced with famine,people were dying of hunger,it's very emotional..

Music is a universal language. Doesn't matter if the language is made up or not. The instrumental will invoke feelings

Such an amazing song. No actual known language used here, just made up vocal sounds that resemble tribal languages as a whole and a tribal beat with soaring melodies. Goose bumps every time. I first bought the CD pure moods in the mid 90’s (I’m 60 now) and this song was on it so I found the composer and bought the album and it’s full of goosebump inducing music with much of the same vocalisations made with no known language. It’s a winner all around!

@@aoneuza it was an album called Adiemus. I had the cassette. Right now it’s packed away in a storage facility. It’s just a cassette and it’s over ten years old. It probably won’t even play right due to how old the cassette is and that it’s been in storage for a couple years now.

Some people think it is a language. It is actually gibberish (a bit like glossolalia).

I've always wanted to sky dive somewhere with beautiful lands maybe Africa or Australia while listening to this and appreciate the beauty of nature. This song is the anthem for Mother Earth

By the way, I have been searching for this song ever since I was a young child still living in my home village in Sicily. I grew up with my grandparents and we always watched a show on channel 6 (we had nine total channels at the time) at night before we went to sleep. I remember there were a couple of times when parts of the scenes in the show played this song and it was an amazing song. I can still see the memory clear in my mind as well as recognize the song. Keep in mind this was over 16 years ago. I am 21 now lol.

I remember listening to this song in high school and being inspired as a musician. This weekend, my son (who is a high schooler) had the opportunity to perform Sir Karl Jenkins’ “Requiem” at Carnegie Hall with other choral students from around the world. He got to speak with Sir Karl, took a photo with him, etc. This was a huge moment in my son’s journey as a musician.

Legendary music NEVER gets old.... for example the song Greensleeves (often attributed to Henry VIII) is still just as wonderful and well-known now as it was in the 16th century.
