    Thank you for your comment! It was not easy to adjust the air and fuel mixture... For a small (and fairly primitive) carburetor is almost impossible to achieve the 14: 1 air to gasoline ratio. I solved this by using petroleum as fuel. The Coleman camping fuel is ideal. By using petroleum, the fuel - air ratio will decrease to 9:1, and the small carburetor can handle the challenge. It worked for me, I hope it will help you too!

  • @69MrSjani

    @69MrSjani

    Hooohooohooo! Some difficult questions... The most important is the carburettor and the fuel. For 1 part regular gasoline you need 14 part air. With a small (and primitive) carburettor is almost impossible to achieve this mix ratio. Here is available a camping stove fuel from Coleman, what is a kind of petroleum. This is perfect for model engines! Probably this type of fuel is available in Austria too. You have to add 1 - 2 % WD40 to the fuel, like a mix for a 2 stroke engine. For this fuel you will need only 1:10 part air. Here is a link where you could see the fuel: www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/coleman-fuel-naphtha-0760044p.html#srp If you would like some more details, please give me your email address, and I will send some pictures as well...

    Beautifully made. However, I can't agree with other commentators that it is running particularly "smoothly". It still quite frequently shows multiple 'gulps' before firing, which it wouldn't if the carburation and scavenging were just right. I'm puzzled by the way it doesn't do any 'misses' at all when running at maximum speed; it's almost as if there is some kind of load on the engine. Anyway, I repeat: it is beautifully made and finished.

I prefer to build a Bengs model or something that existed sometime even is expensive, rather than buy 3 cheap chinese designs...I didn't built any of my models, because the kit or material was cheap. I did them because I liked them . I have to pick projects carefully, because I have very little free time. And I'm not alone with that, I'm sure.

    Unfortunately I can't answer your question. I never used it for real work, it just drove a generator and once drove my watchmakers lathe as well. ( the power of the electric motor is 0.2 kW ) Of course, it has quite a lot of power like any 15 cubic centimeter engine, but I wouldn't recommend using it for everyday work. I’m sure it wasn’t designed for that.
