Jen McCabe also testified on cross that she saw Karen’s black SUV leaving 34 Fairview at 12:45am. She admitted that she texted John hello at that time, then called him, then called him again… then again… then again… and then again. Then deleted those calls. Sounds perfectly normal to me…

I just want one single person with a straight face to explain how getting hit by a tail light and bumper in reverse going 24 miles an hour can cause two black eyes that "looked like golf balls" along with bruising on the back of the hands and scratches all up the right arm but no further bodily injury... Please someone try to recreate this in some way that does not clearly equal a brutal beating including a dog. This whole case is sick and the worst part is i still think she will probably get convicted.. Our own Making a Murderer here in Boston.

It was testified at trial that the SUV weighed OVER 7,000 lbs. How do you think a body would look after being hit by a vehicle weighing over 7,000 lbs at 24 mph. You'd be messed up!

I understand your point, Heavy object moving and hitting a smaller object but the damage to the body does not coincide with the speed and weight the vehicle was traveling. Do you honestly believe a tail light and bumper can cause two black eyes the size of golf balls, dog bites on the right arm, laceration to the back of the head and face. Also above all ZERO broken bones. You would think a 7k lb vehicle would brake a bone or two if colliding with a person.

The guy was found on their property, after there was a whole after-party. Higgins was texting Karen while she was with John & ignoring him...they never once did forensics cuz the home owners NEVER came outside. They are life long police officers & first responders. The guy supposedly was sleep & woke up & said he just never once felt like he could help....are you not interested in the death of a so-called DEAR FRIEND? The first thing I'm doing is checking on WHOEVER is there.

It actually should be aloud. The more I watch this particular case the more I believe that cases like this should not be televised. It’s too dangerous or it makes it more dangerous. Yes. She left and drove home while the victim went into the house and then got involved in a fight and got killed (possibly accidently). Those in the house then decided to cover it up. Initially they were going to leave the body close to the road where it might look like a snowplow hit him, but the heavy snow didn't start falling for hours and the snowplows were only throwing sand. The snowplow driver for that area made several passes while sanding the roads and he never saw any body. The injuries on the body are consistent with a fight accompanied by dog bites. The wounds are not consistent with being backed into with a car. And there also was a German shepherd dog in that residence at the time which aligns with the bite injuries. Buckets of other evidence points to a cover-up. Overall, a cover-up that makes the Watergate cover-up back in 1972 look like geniuses.

Been following the court case only and not the background or outside info. If I were a juror I wouldn’t be able to find her guilty based on the case presented by both. I’m not suggesting a conspiracy rather the commonwealth didn’t prove their case to me beyond a reasonable doubt. The defense rested today. Closing arguments next week. This is the first news story I’ve seen about it.

I'm not a doctor or medical examiner; but from my many years in nursing those two blackeyes could be the result of a subdural hematoma; which he did suffer due to the head trauma. The blood flow could have occurred when he attempted to get up but was intoxicated and had head trauma.

no, it showed a bubble of where it COULD be. if your signal gets disrupted (maybe by, i don’t know, being in a basement?) but the GPS knows it’s still somewhere near where it used to be, it sometimes just defaults to that spot because that’s where the signal was strongest. which would be the spot where he and Karen parked the sequence of bubbles goes: near the flagpole, expands to most of house, shrinks to half of house (where basement is) then focuses back to its original bubble. he went into the house then downstairs

That dog, that they conveniently got rid of, definitely attacked JK. Further, the cops inverted video of her vehicle because they worried it shows their claims about the tail light are untrue. Two of them destroyed their phones just before the subpoena. His injuries were consistent with a fight, not a massive SUV slamming into him. They were wasted. He went inside and someone pissed him off. They exchanged words and it got violent. He was hurt badly and either walked off, collapsing outside, or they carried him out there after realizing his skull fracture was fatal. They framed her.

Bingo! She was originally charged with vehicular homicide, but she decided to challenge it. 98 pound woman registered 1.3 8 hours later.

She hit him and didn’t call for help. I’m not buying that the whole police department AND the medical examiner’s office are all risking life behind bars over a couple of cops fighting and one of them dying. Defense attorneys with guilty clients always do one of 2 defenses. They do the Jodi Arias tactic, smear the murder victim to make them look like a monster or they do the it’s a vast conspiracy to pin the murder on an innocent person tactic. Not buying that everyone involved in this case has it out for Karen Read and smashed up her tail light to pin it on her. Should have pled involuntary manslaughter and gotten 18 months and probation.
