Most seem to be Americans - what a surprise. Noticed Jews and Indians too. When I was in the UK, the Yanks were the worst tourists disobeying rules and being parasites. In the 1700s they would have been beaten. In the 1500s they would have been hung .

I resided in the UK for 15 years through the eighties. The Royal Guards were on High alert due to the tensions between the UK and Southern Ireland. They are not ornamental! They were blown up while playing music at the local gazebo. DO NOT treat them like toy soldiers EVER! Show them the same respect you would show a Marine serving in combat from America! As an American, these people are so disrespectful. I apologize on behalf on ALL other Americans that know the difference and thank you for serving your King and country.

@@vladimiramiller3738 They are members of our Armed Forces and part of their job is to protect the head of State i.e. The King. The other part is where they also participate in a Combat role in the UK Armed Forces, many of them will drive Tanks and Armoured fighting vehicles in the latter role!

You're right! Most people who travel do look up the rules of a Country they're visiting. This is called "Protocol", what clothing is acceptable, dining out etiquette, how to treat other's with respect and laws not to break. A perfect example is watching how Megain and Harry broke Royal Protocol and their horrible behaviour. No other people in the British Royal Family are guilty of being so rude!

@@KindCountsDeb3773 No thye don't, the police are the ones doing the protecting, the Guards have no bullets in their guns erc. They are however trained combat Soldiers and the Horse GGaurds spend far more trime in armoured vehicles then they do stomping aorund outside Horse Guards (and the sword or rifle butt would still hurt if they really had to).

Touching the horses is allowed. Touching the reins is NOT as it is the way of controlling the animals. The guards and their horses serve here as a tourist attraction - that is their purpose (not all the time obviously!)

Came back in a different color. Did she think no one would recognize her? She’s very distracting and I don’t like her always at the horse’s mouth! No telling what she may be feeding them or what she might be rubbing on their nose!

That Karen at Horse Guards was Trespassed from there. Touching the horse is fine. Asking the Trooper is polite, but touching the reins, and tack or the guard will get you a warning to cease and if you don't the term Charger becomes reality.

I look for this and if I know, I say something, too. Especially IF the imposter video is taking traffic and money from a organization yt hat needs traffic and donations. It's depriving them of it. IF another site helps spread some info AND gives credit to the original creator, I think that might be fine.

Most tourists don't realize the Royal guards are not doing cosplay. They are some of the best soldiers on the planet, they all have guns (whether you can see them or not) and the guns are loaded. Anyone who works in the service sector, retail, etc has met these same jerks, sadly; they are everywhere.

The sudden stomp & marching off is something the guards do periodically anyway - he was probably counting the seconds til he could!

Change of guards used to be a solemn event inspiring reverence. The Monarchy dangling these soldiers out to be publicly molested and harassed is disrespectful. It’s in the best interest of all to create boundaries that provide the guards with a safe environment and protect tourists from their own lack of self awareness.
