why not remove the cover? i washed it, dried it and put it back on the mattress. The easiest way to do it is when you dont let it dry completely when you put the cover back, because then it will still be stretchy. Even better if you do it together. Ikea has alot of these advices on the insides that i dont follow because its ridiculous not to clean it thoroughly. I also do this with couch covers.. I also don't believe these chemicals are healthy in any way.
