It's like fencing bud not full contact combat, First to land a clean hit scores a point. Doesn't need to be a hard hit just a clean hit

because the goal is to strike down an opponent with one strike. If you have full contact, you have the obvious evidence of a KO. Karate is light/medium contact. So obviously you have to stop after this "simulated" KO. But the attack must be strong and good enough to display that you would have striked down your opponent if you wanted. Continuing after making a point in this case would be like continuing shooting after being shot in paintball. And no, saying no "other combat sport has stoppage like that" is factually wrong. This is consistent for this type of fighting (points+no full contact). Semi contact kickboxing is like that too.

In martial arts what you want is to train your body and mind so you can rule over both, this done through discipline, practice, dedication and respect of yourself and your opponent. This girl only wants to win, typical childish behavior. She does not deserves to be called a martial artist because she surely is not one. Bar her from ever competing again, that's the only thing that has to be done here, out of respect and reverence to those who actually care about the discipline and to the discipline itself.
