thanks for the video! I also use x block as a chamber for my blocks and strikes, and my chamber is a strike. My outside hand punches while my other hand chambers by my ear or wherever. If I want to do a left low block , I'll chamber in a high x block super quick with my right hand (on the outside) punching high and left (inside) hand comes across the right side of my face, then execute the low block kinda slowly. For the high block with left hand, I chamber slightly lower with the x block and also punch slightly lower with super speed, then build momentum to block high, and my chambers are circular in motion for speed. Also, my punch in my x block is usually quicker and with way more energy than the block itself. It's like I'm building up for the block with the sprung tension of my body even more than how hard I block. I could be wrong, I'm learning. Again nice video!

In Jion, there is a part of the kata where you step forward and bend down, x block and then step back and throw both arms out to the side. In my bunkai of Jion I have the uke throw a big hook punch, then I step up to them ducking under their punch. (bending at the knees of course not just bending my back over). I make sure to get in close to their body. I Then x block the ankle of one of their legs, whichever leg is closest. I make sure to grab the ankle and then stand up and throw my hands up in the air. I basically make their foot and head swap places. Haha. This rips their leg into the air so quickly they end up faceplanting. Hopefully you understand what I mean by this. And if you do, it would be cool to see you guys try it out.

Totally can see that, it would be like a single-leg takedown into a dump. That would be super brutal on concrete or a hard surface, we can definitely try that out. thanks!

Ребята, вы молодцы! в последнее время люди мало уделяют внимания каратэ и базовой технике. А вы так или иначе заставляете интересоваться традиционными боевыми искусствами и самое главное, опять же - кихон и ката!

It's x block karate is incredible I just hope I can learn this type of thing to save my life all depends on how you use it and you memorize and learn and perform at the right way you can take down any opponent and you be fast enough so I won't speed and power and agility it's not always about blocking sometimes the best defense is the perfect offense 👊🥋💪😉👍🥋👊

Another interesting video. Well done guys! I think you did one a while ago but i'd be interested to see the groundwork concepts within karate, because they are there, just hidden. (I.e. In kanku dai from shotokan there is a mae ukemi etc)

+cartoons cartoons We admire your drive to train even if your city doesn't have any schools! I would suggest watching some videos on karate basics and practicing those for now. If you can find a like-minded friend who also wants to learn then you two can practice basics together. Again these are just the basics and I would not recommend any sparring until you have access to a dojo or supervision. Eventually, finding a school to progress quickly and correctly in karate is the best route to go. Unfortunately our channel caters to the more intermediate/advanced karate practitioners but there are many beginner videos available online and we might eventually release our own basics video as well. Good luck on your training and if you want more specific instructors feel free to email us at: karateculture@gmail.com
