@@samarthjain145 ohh, im not in twitter so im not really aware of whats happening there. But as i know, they have been calling him overrated since in the 90s itself. If that person have learned music they will know the capability of ARR in composing songs in various raagas and mixing 2 - 3 raagas in a song. Sadly usually the ones criticising ARR are the ones that dont have music background or atleast some little music knowledge or if they do, they are hardcore Ilayaraja fans.

He was destined to deliver the excellent. Salman said he was average. A man who had been given prestigious awards and remain humble. Surrendering the success to God and keeping a cool head. A good heart good human being. Helping others who needs support is done without any fuss. Speaks less but improvises every time. I have been his fan since Roja and I am still is. Great composer of our times who beats cast creed religion and national boundaries who is so humble and down to earth...always reminds of Sachin Tendulkars attitude to life ..... A person with almost zero ego, the way he worked with new comes in his life 🦶🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 But off late he has been under utilized in film music.

I think the part that KT mentioned later about his taciturn habit was either edited or just KT's imagination. AR is not at all a laconic, he is very soft spoken as a matter of fact, that can be well understood given his humble family background and his trade as well.

As he said his family was not very well to do then. But did u notice he felt so good talking about the faCt that every musician he met later talked highly of his father. That's all it boils down to I guess, upbringing. But we are lucky to have such a great musician living in our era. God bless him.

Rahman didn't got any influence from Ilaiyaraja. The reason why rahman stunned the 90s was becoz he gave an extreme polar opposite music than that of Ilaiyaraja who ruled the 80s. IR's influence can be seen in later composers tho... especially YSR
