Karakuri small boxes is a very nice serie. Not too difficult but very well crafted. They make great gifts. You still look not too tired, so Thor's hammer is not causing you to lose sleep at the moment :-). Looking forward to hear your experience! Thanks and regards.

I haven't start assembling it yet. But i'm getting ready mentally. I can remember exact position of 6 out of 8 parts, some moves, and i start thinking that i can do it.

Easy puzzle. Maybe the trick was to free somehow the "ball" inside, that's it.

I'm sure the object was to open the box. But it would be nice to see what is happening inside.

You need to revisit this box. Your box got stuck on unlock. Just turning the box upside down is not supposed to unlock it. The way I unlock it is to turn it upside down and that bat it around lightly like a kitten playing with a ball of yarn. I have no idea why this works but it always does. Sometimes it takes a while but never a long time.

Tried to open the box again, 5 out 5 times i had just to flip it upside down and pull the inner part out. No other manipulations required.

4:46 when you point to "the link" to the other karakuri box videos, I don't see the link on my screen.

@@Puzzleguy I'm trying to figure it out. Every video I watch, by any KZreadr, who points to a spot on the screen and says click on the link: no link appears anymore. It's been going on for about a year now...and I'm signed in...

The numbers on top suggest a sequence 1-6 for what side is up

Puzzle guy - the logo has 1/4/5 in it. I think that does play into this. Suggesting the opposite sides are 6/3/2 respectively. I don’t know if that actually means anything but if you flipped side 1-2-3-4-5-6 you’d end up upside down and likely in same position you solved it randomly. Guessing there is an edge track for the bearing that brings it to an opening after side 6 but only when passing in that order.

In fact the logos are different on each box you showed in intro. The darker box has a 5 and two 1’s

You only solved the first half. You still need to solve the second half.

Why do you think it was only the first part? The box was opened, puzzle is solved. What is the second object?
