Kara Yatsu- flat kumihimo braid

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video we take a look at how to braid the Kara Yatsu kumihimo braid. It is considered a flat braid, more precisely a rounded flat braid. It is quite popular for making leashes, but can work for bracelets, collars and other straps as well.

Thank you for another amazing video but I am left with the same question. Now I have a braid, but I don’t know what to do with each end? Please make a video of that if you have time. I am a new subscriber. Thank you.

I want to make a dog leash (small dog) using the braid. The leash will be 6 feet long. I am going to use 1.85mm (95) cord. I am wondering what the ratio is of cord to finished product for that smaller diameter cord. Thanks

I have never seen this type of braid before, my question is, how do you know where to place the cords? Please advise, Ray Lee.

Hi Marko, just wondered if you wanted to 'name' this as it will get missed in any searches - it just says 'unlisted'... 🙂
