One can hear the spoken word influence on her ariculation, pacing in her singing and even her speaking voice. Omg love. And even the working with Jamila Woods. Wow

For me, Kara was one of the real discoveries in 2023. What a beautiful voice; furthermore, her music really surprised me. Absolutely excellent, I would hope 1. that she will break through and 2. will come to The Netherlands...

The places she can get me within a handful of bars, I didn't know before those existed nor have I assumed they would be possible in my life. This is uniquity avant la lettre, iconoclastic, and as much as her music quenches my desires new ones arise. Her love for odd chord progressions and meandering (jazzy-pop) melodies is beyond me. [Clearly a case for some pundit to bend over about.]
