This is so obviously wrong. People do change their minds. It depends on the type of person and what convinced them to believe or not. If you are gullible or credulous then it wouldn't take much for you to believe. If you are of a scientific/inquiring mind then you would need evidence. If you used your feelings/emotions instead of rationality then no amount of evidence or counter evidence could make you stop believing. If you are a denialist then no amount of evidence would make you believe. If you are a skeptic then good evidence would sway you to believe.

The point is God uses stuff, he uses the physical world to be instruments where by he brings his blessings to the people. Even though, you have that images in the Old Testament because in Deuteronomy 4:16 has stricter against the making of the images because God tells them why. God said “I did not command you concerning the making of images when I brought you out of Israel because I took no form among you. Guess what, in the New Testament he does; the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We believe as Catholic in the incarnation God has become flesh. So while we have limited use of images in the Old Testament, we have much fuller sense of images in the New Testament because in Collosians chapter 1 verse 14&15 “Christ is the image of God first born of all creation. We believe in the incarnation now, God became physical, so he relates to us physically. Not that he didn’t in the Old Testament, he did through the Arc of the covenant and the brazen serpent. Finally, when God said do not make graven images he wasn’t saying not making images of any kind because later he commanded Moses to make images rather he was forbidding the creation of images, people would worship idolatry. God condemns idolatry not the making of statues because if he was condemning the making of statues he would contradict himself.

God did not taught us to debate but instead to love one another... if you think you are too perfect as well as the people in your church and that we Catholics are sinful (than from your church)... then i humbly ask you to include us in your prayers... Finally, when God said do not make graven images he wasn’t saying not making images of any kind because later he commanded Moses to make images rather he was forbidding the creation of images, people would worship idolatry. God condemns idolatry not the making of statues because if he was condemning the making of statues he would contradict himself.

Di kailangan extra curricular activity aanhin mo yan kung masama pa rin ugali. Simba ka ng simba hindi mo pa rin binabago paguugali hindi ka pa rin maging banal. FOR NON CATHOLIC!! Read this litany of Catholic perspectives before attacking our Faith. What’s in the video was totally superstitious. The church has sophisticated criteria before something can be called miracle. Even the most obvious takes decades to prove. Let me educate you first what Catholic believes about Graven images. When we go back to the Old Testament Exodus 20 the 10 commandments “Thou shall not make any graven images of any likeness of anything be in heaven or earth or under the sea, if you go just 5 chapters later, God commands Moses to make the Arc of the covenant on the top of it 5 ft tall golden angels. So wait a minute, God said no statues and then he commands Moses to make a statue. And think of this as well, the Arc of the covenant became the source of god’s grace and power for his people. And when you go chapter 21 verses 8:9, when Moses and the children of Israel where in the wilderness and they begun to rebel against God and God sends a plague of snakes among them. Moses interceded for them. God commanded Moses again “make a brazen serpent put it on the pole and when the children of Israel look to it they were healed. The point is God uses stuff, he uses the physical world to be instruments where by he brings his blessings to the people. Even though, you have that images in the Old Testament because in Deuteronomy 4:16 has stricter against the making of the images because God tells them why. God said “I did not command you concerning the making of images when I brought you out of Israel because I took no form among you. Guess what, in the New Testament he does; the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We believe as Catholic in the incarnation God has become flesh. So while we have limited use of images in the Old Testament, we have much fuller sense of images in the New Testament because in Collosians chapter 1 verse 14&15 “Christ is the image of God first born of all creation. We believe in the incarnation now, God became physical, so he relates to us physically. Not that he didn’t in the Old Testament, he did through the Arc of the covenant and the brazen serpent.
