When Filipinos visit other countries: Try to understand and speaks basic foreign language and english But when foreigners in the philippines: ask filipinos to adjust because they can't speak basic english. Others became rude pa.

It's fine to have Chinese nationals/foreigners in PH, as long as they follow PH rules and adjust to Filipino language or at least English, not vice versa. Also, Filipinos as FIRST CLASS CITIZEN.

I once worked in a restaurant and they are so unethical. They spit their food on the floor and make us clean them afterwards. I don't want to be stereotypical pero ito po talaga ang behaviours ng majority of our chinese costumers. Like I myself have a Chinese blood but I really don't like the mainlanders.

It's not that they don't care, it's just because they can and there is nothing that obligates them to do it. Philippines cater to much to other countries when other countries doesn't even cater to the pilipinos'. This is just a great example of double standard.. Someone who is sitting in the pilipino government should do something bout it.

Of course we'll perceive the Mainland Chinese as enemies. One reason is their lack of soft power. They don't export their pop culture like Korea and Japan thus being perceived as uncool. Second, they lack manners. Yung mga squatters sa kanila biglang yumaman in a short span of time, to the level na kaya nilang lumabas ng China to travel and some to work, yun lang hindi naka catch-up yung pag-form nila ng manners. Kaya kadalasan sa kanila balasubas, dugyot, pero hindi sila masamang tao. Yun lang yung nakasanayan nila gawin sa China. Kasi nung mahihirap pa sila, it's do-or-die and the "me-first" mentality. Third reason is their occupation in our islands. Maraming rason dito. This is not good versus evil. Hindi sumusunod ang China sa international laws for a reason. Pero syempre yung mga masa iisipin masama agad ang mga Mainland Chinese, kahit government naman nila yung may kasalanan. But what pinoys are doing is making memes and just bashing the Chinese instead of knowing them beyond sa kung anong sinasabi ng mga kano tungkol sa kanila. Akala nila nakaka-epekto yung pag copy paste nila nung nga "Tiananmen Square Massacre" copypasta sa comments sa Facebook, pero ang katotohanan wala naman sila napapahamak dun. Pinoys, read books. Wag palaging tingnan ang China sa kung ano mang sinasabi ng mga kano tungkol sa kanila. Ibang iba sila e, iba yung history, at iba yung pag-intindi at pagtanaw nila sa mundo.

Again, its getting harder everyday to live in the Philippines for a filipino. Houses/rent are ridiculously expensive for a filipino earning 10-35k a month #Humanityfirst

Koreans came here to learn English. Chinese came here to make business. Japanese came here to look for wife.

jae hyuk haha, di maiiwasan, kasi nauubos na ang lahi ng mga hapon kaya naghahanap sila ng asawa, pero impossible naman din kasi mas malaki currency natin sa kanila at sa japan mahirap magkapamilya dahil sa di kaya ang gastos at busy at overwork mga young adults doon, so impossible ata sila maghahanap ng asawa kung malaki talaga ang gagastusin nila para magkapamilya...

I think this really depends. A lot of chinese are born and raised here , do speak filipino. Its just mainlanders/ people that have came here older that have a greater language barrier.

Chinese people are taking advantages of our Paradise , and then they'll destroy it ... like now 😢 Edited : I see that many of you got effended by my opinion. But as a Filipino na kpopper , i love SK but that doesn't mean that i hate the Philippines. I myself love China but the way they treat the Philippines now is not a reasonable answer. Yes we need chinese investments but about the trending topic about the West Philippine Sea is Not the right way to negotiate. And we as Filipino should be as one either we have benefits or not, not only from China but other countries I Love Other Countries as much as i love the Philippines...❤️ Let's just trust the lord that everything will go as plan and with peace 💛

I'm an English teacher for Chinese students, and the reactions of our countrymen of the Chinese invading our country is sad. Honestly, the Chinese don't understand why other countries hate them. "when in Rome, do what the romans do ", pero siguro ganun ang image nila sa pinas puno ng korupsyon at krimen tapos marami ang di sumusunod sa batas kaya lakas din ng loob nila. May mga rude talaga na chinese sa totoo lang, pero sana naman iwasan din ng pinoy na i-generalize sila, dahil maraming chinese pa rin ang mabuti pero dahil na din sa cultural difference kaya madalas di magkaintindihan. Ayaw natin ng racism or discrimination di ba, dapat simulan natin sa sarili, di sa magpapatalo tayo kundi open-mindedness, kumbaga lawakan ang pang-unawa sa kanila.Ipakita natin na welcoming at friendly tayo dahil tayo ay pinoy syempre. Kahit sa ibang bansa may mga pinoy na nakakagawa din ng krimen yung iba naman di nila alam nagiging insensitive na sila sa paligid, yung kaingayan na madalas sobra na kaya marami din naiinis sa pinoy eh na mga locals. Di ba sa perspective natin ay " haha sobrang nadala lang ng kasiyahan kaya maingay pasensya na" tapos sa perspective ng locals " filipinos are so insensitive, they should go back to their country" oh diba masakit kase di naman yun yung intensyon natin tapos na judge agad tayo. Sa policy natin ay talagang malaki rin ang pagkukulang dapat mahigpit at may limitasyon ang pagpapapasok ng immigrants dito. Legal at dapat may record of identity sila tapos alamin anf purpose of visit para alam kung ilang araw sila mag-stay dito. Dapat i-require ang english language proficiency para sa mga long-term o balak na tumira dito, malaking contribution din yun sa english teaching industry yun kung nagkataon...chance din natin yun na i-promote sa kanila nng filipino culture.

Hindi ako naniniwala hindi cla marunong mag english. Kung Tagalog oo naniwala ako. Sa simpleng ganyan naloloko na tyo na ideny nila na No Englush, kaya dapat talaga required na marunong mag english. NO ENGLISH NO VISA, Paano kung in case of emergency paano ntin cla ire rescue.

I'm Filipino-American who is actually studying business here in the United States. Now I'm just going to give my personal thoughts and opinions. I've actually worked with fellow Chinese here and honestly they are one of the most hardworking people I've ever met, along with my fellow Kababayans. Philippines has a long history with the China, way before even the Spanish came to colonize the Philippines. As early as the 9th Century. For me personally, I think many Filipinos need to step up, and get into business and invest. For the past couple of years I've heard news about Filipinos who own businesses back home. Examples would be Blk Cosmetics, Bentesilog, Snack Attack, Vice Cosmetics, and Human Heart Nature. There are Filipinos who are stepping up, and contribute to the economy. Now imagine if more and more Filipinos got into business - we would have more control of our country. I honestly don't agree about the Food Park being Chinese only - I think the government, and the Filipinos shouldn't allow that since the Chinese are the ones flocking to our country. They should follow our rules and not bend for them.

Guys did you know Ms. Jessica Soho actually has roots originally from china so I guess she's not that worried about this stuff.

What are they doing in the PH? And really they can't speak English.. They are slowly taking over.. How about the place they work.. that building?! Sino owner diyan??!

There are pretty much many chinese people in the Philippines that do speak English and Filipino and even have respect to people (I sure know because I'm friends with one), most shown here are pretty much mainlanders in China who so happens to be in Philippines.

This is actually making me sad. We are an open country and we are surely lnown for being hospitable. However, I feel like we are being invaded by the chinese community. I just hope the government can give us atleast an explanation on why they are allowing this? there must be a plan right?

Mapagmata sa mga taong may hard work. Tapos pagnaka kita naman ng mga taong mas asenso, sasabihin "Filipinos should be the ones getting rich off the economy." Remember, these Chinese did not become rich overnight. Marami sa kanila ay nagsimula bilang mga magbobote, magtataho at magdyadyaryo. Punit punit po ang kanilang mga suot at naka tsinelas lang po. Dahil sa pagsisinop at pagtyatyaga ay umasenso sila. Nakita ko po ito noong 60's. Ang tanong, ang mga Pilipino ba ay hindi kaya gawin ito? O ayaw lang gawin sapagkat hindi ito sosyal? Tanong lamang po at salamat po.

Let us not blame it on the Chinese. Tingnan muna natin ang ating sarili. Bakit ba mahirap ang Filipino? Lifestyle lang siguro tingnan. Sa sahod o pera, ano ba ang ginagawa ng Filipino icompara sa isang Chinese? Kahit na empleyado lang, pwede naman talaga yayaman ang isang Filipino kagaya ng mga Tsino. Iba man talaga ang mindset ng mga Tsino. Sa Tsina daw, lahat ng mga mamayan nila ay pinabukas ng bank account at parang naging mandatory sa kanila na mag-ipon ng ilang porsyento ng kanilang sahod na dapat isinatabi kaagad kada sweldo at ang naiwan ay pang araw-araw na gastos. Tinuturuan sila ng gobyerno nila na maging masinop. At ang pinakamalupit, lahat ng Tsino mayroon daw life insurance, as encouraged by their government. Mayroong ganitong cultura kung nagtatrabaho ang isang tao sa isang kompanya kahit na dito sa Pilipinas, pero sa Tsina, they went to the next level, dahil ang gobyerno mismo ang nagbigay ng parang ultimatum advise na kahit hindi empleyado, small time businessman man o kahit isang "floor manager", lahat dapat susunod sa batas. Mga Filipino ay mas democratico man at binigyan ng leeway ng gobyerno to make their own decisions, kaya tuloy hindi ata na "train ang mindset" ang pag-ipon at ang paghanda sa hinaharap kagaya ng getting a Life Insurance just in case. Mas meron pang comprehensive insurance ang sasakyan kaysa may-ari ng sasakyan.

First of all, Malamang nangangamuhan ka sa ibang bansa, alangan naman yung amo mo pa yung mag adjust para sayo. Second, yung mga chinese na yan mostly negosyante at nagtatrabaho din sa chinese company so hindi na nila kaylangan pang mag tagalog. Medyo tama to. At least have a language test. Like us, pag nag punta tayo sa ibang bansa minsan nire require tayo ng IELTS or if hindi man, at least marunong tayo makipag usap sa iba through English. Yung mga kababayan natin na nasa non-english speaking country, inaaral nila yung language kasi di sila mag susurvive if hindi. Dito naman satin, we don't require them to speak filipino but at least english pero mainam if filipino :p

Born and educated in Philippines. Went to US for 2 years advanced medical training but denied re-entry back to Philippines in 1974 and retired in USA as MD. . A lot of people were in my shoes.Philippines was very restrictive in immigration before and was left behind in economic development as compared other ASEAN due to very restrictive immigration policy at thattime. Philippines was adverse to foreign investment and Filipino First dominate its policy.This is 360 degrees turn in policy too late. The years of 1970s when China under MAO was poor and no dinero. Philippines discriminated very much on Chinese even those born, educated in Philippines. Talking from personal experience and my wife who passed away was a Filipina and got discriminated indirectly at time. Philippines now respect China as opposed to 1970s. There is question of being bullied on ownership of certain islands presently. Philippines was the only country that refused to take in HongKong Chinese when HongKong was returned to China.Other ASEAN countries iincluding Singapore, USA and Canada benefitted from it. I was only in USA for 2 years of medical training and got US medical license and able to practice medicine in USA. I have Philippines Medical license and can not use it since I was denied re-entry due to my Taiwan visa in 1970s. recent law stipulated you have to be Filipino to practice medicine in Philippines. No respect of its own Philippines consttitution of passing retroactive law which invalidate my medical license.. PHILIPPINES 360 DEGREES CHANGED IN FOREIGN POLICY IS RECOGNITION OF REALITY. PHP TO DOLLARS IS NO LONGER 2 TO ONE IN 1970 BUT 52 TO ONE.

Jessica, you have to bring someone who speaks Chinese. Otherwise, you will just be interviewing Filipinos.

Okay lang sana kung wala tayong mga kababayan na pilipino na di kaya o ayaw gumawa ng trabaho na binibigay sa mga Chinese. Ang kaso lang meron. Maraming capable na pilipino na nangangailangan ng trabaho. Sa mga bansang tulad ng US, Saudi, Kuwait yan yung mga bansang ina-allow nilang pumasok yung mga ibang lahi kase gusto nila mismo na sa ibang lahi ibigay yung trabaho. Let's say, na may mga taga don din na walang trabaho, di pa rin sa kanila napupunta kase ayaw nila yung work. Eh tayong mga pilipino gusto naman natin eh.
