Very oldschool design like they used during the previous turn of the century 1890s early 1900s to lift heavy cameras and meteorological equipment.

Hi, Can you explain how you build your KAP rig or where you purchased it? Thanks

Hi, I did the video about the KAP but I'm not the person flying the kite. I can tell you that the rig he wears is home-made and that the spool holds up to 1000 feet of line. He has multiple kites for different wind conditions and some he may have put together and others purchased. If possible I will see if he would comment here to give more information. I would love to video him talking about how he made it and his kites etc, but I can't promise when/if that might happen.

This video wasn't 'planned'. I just happened to run into him while out shooting other things (we did know each other). He agreed to let me shoot this video but I didn't have my wireless mic's with me. Just about right above us was the Sidney Lanier Bridge with normal traffic so yes..that hurt the audio.
