Stars is such a grower. Liked it on first listen, but every time I've run the album back it's atmosphere is unreal. Always a joy to hear your opinions Ernest, ever since After Hours! Much love.

I think Kanye and Cudi is still my favorite duo. They mesh so well. By Ty Dolla Sign got me rethinking that a bit. He really helped pull this together into something cohesive. I love it. It’s a top 5 Kanye album for me. Not sure where exactly, not #1, but def top 5.

31:33 it can be about that. but it can have more than one meaning. its not just the public talking to ye and chris, its also ye and chris telling us, the public, to be forgiveness from them for how we have treated them. we may see it as we are just fans and we give them money and we like their art but we only like them when they make us feel good and when they dont we turn on them. like a gladiator arena. we need to look at ourselvesm

I really don't get the "Ty carried" stuff. There's just so many elements, but the main ones are that Ty did exactly what he was brought in to do - make hooks and sing. Ye knew he'd be the best part of songs and not of others. Also, when was the last time you heard Ty sound this good on anything? This isn't as simple as getting some beats and singing over them, this wouldn't be the quality it is without Ye behind the wheel. And theres only a few other artists that can claim the same.

I don't get this one. To me, the production was insane, but the content itself was mostly forgettable. Aside from a few lines here and there, he didn't really say anything of significance. This is basically 2 grown men in a studio rapping about how much they have sex with women, which is weird to me, especially since one of them is married. Can't even address why he dropped the christian, non-curse words thing? Nah. To me its a forgettable album. Can't remember any of it outside of production.

Kanye is bigger the hip hop and hate people that group him in the category. He’s objectively greatest artist all genres to ever exist along with the Beatles. And if you don’t think so don’t ever say your a music fanatic

@@shakaj1525I think the originally post went over your head. MJ was a great performer but still bound to the category of music he performed in. Ye is a revolutionary artist that paved wave for a lot of the sounds used in post 2008 music, he pushed boundaries outside the normal hip hop which is why 50 cent could no longer compete with him during the prime battle of those two, the new wave production music Ye brought was game changer for hip hop and honestly a lot of subcategories

@@YaBoy_JayDawg MJ artistry reaches further than music (mind u he was active in pop, rock, r&b, soul etc.) He pushed the boundaries of what a music video could be, singlehandedly destroying racial barriers with his genius. His impact was felt thru the entire industry and is still felt to this day, who knows where the format of music video would have been without him. Thats impact in the music industry as whole thru his art. He took dancing elements and evolved them further, even having signature moves that stand the test of time. His fashion statements and styles are relevant in fashion today and back then his style was imitated and till this day u know someone is dressed as MJ at for example Halloween. He reached farther than Kanye ever could. MJ is the most influential artist ever, his artistry can be SEEN, FELT and HEARD thru his kids today in music: Beyonce, Chris Brown, Usher, The Weeknd, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber and more, probably almost the whole industry. People say he is the most famous person since Jesus himself. All because of his artistry and performance.

He is undoubtedly one of the best musicians of all time. I agree. Not sure if you’re replying to me saying he’s not best rapper, but if you are, I’m talking about pure pen skill and in that dept he’s lacking. But overall artistry he’s easy top 3 if not 1

Kanye is 1 million percent the best rapper ever. Using your reasonings I know 3rd graders who are better “singers” than Mariah Carey.

Nah bro, I love Kanye so much man but he couldn’t out rap someone like a Black thought. He’s definitely the best hip hop artist of the past 20 years imo.
