When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. @@dontkickmychick6076 The only person who made quality gangsta rap nowadays would be Pop Smoke(RIP). The new drill sound is probably the closest we will get to modern gangsta rap. Rap has become mostly about the production and beat rather than back then where lyrics, flow, and beat mattered. You can literally repeat the same word over and over and it will become a hit. Real Albums don’t exist anymore and certainly don’t tell stories. Rap music is now the mainstream and will be replaced by another genre in 5-10 years. Just as Rock was replaced by Rap.
