I haven't been to church for over 20 years. I grew up in a very strong Christian environment. Christian school every day, Church on sundays, youth group on Thursdays. I've spent a lot of time in darkness lately and listening to this song brought me to tears and had me raising my hands. Not for two decades have I felt completely accepted for who I am and the faults I have. Thank you, Kanye. From somebody who abandoned his faith long ago, this has sparked it again.

Lost my grandmother a few months ago to COVID, she raised me. I've been so lost since she passed. I've tried to be strong and keep it together. I never believed in god. My family has been taking me to church for 18 years and I never believed in any of it. @Fubnot there are many paths to spirituality all of them acknowledge "the most high" being at the top. For me Jewish and Christian Kabbalah showed me a perspective on God and religion in a way so beautiful, ineffable and divine that it can't be put into words. Sadly most modern churches have kept regressing over the thousands of years since the death of Jesus because of politics and higher church officials keeping information away or intentionally preaching useless things that barely invigorates your soul. I too was like you in having my faith resparked later down the line. Do some quick research and reading and I'm sure you will find a path to God that you enjoy the most for every path is the right path as long as it brings you joy, and brings good to you and the people around you. @@00cactus7 Thanks man. She's still in the hospital. My uncle was able to visit her and she's understanding everything that is said and replying in a couple of words. She still can't fully form sentences as she did before, but that's probably because she hasn't started taking her meds since they weren't able to do a tomography on her given her oscillating blood pressure. It seems like it stabilized yesterday, so today she'll probably be able to do it and then we'll start her treatment properly. Other than that, she's reacting well, laughing at the jokes people tell her, remembers everything clearly, but still has issues talking and her right side of the body is a bit dormant right now. Hopefully everything will be okay soon enough 🙌🏼

I cry almost every time the chorus sings "throw your hands up in the skyyyy, yes Lord we wave em' hiiiiigh". Reading the comments, it seems like this song is bringing a lot of people to tears and I find that incredibly powerful. It's like we're all releasing a deep sadness together but then "God's not finished" and "we gonna be okay" helps to heal our pain, making us stronger than ever before. 1LOVE
