I love that part of this theme lol

after knowing the lyrics, now this song became even creepier

Never beore I've ever felt such a confusing mixture of being heartbroken and mildly terrified at the same time.

This one seriously made me cry when I first saw the lyrics...those poor girls just want to go home and be loved like the fleet girls but are trapped by their grief and past hatreds. Can I switch sides :3

All the budget went to 2D artworks sprites and music since gameplay is meh.. If you found this great, Vanguard Sound Studio remixed some kancolle track like this and extended it also, it was pure chaotic ecstasy. It wasn't this exact soundtrack but it has the choir similar energy.

They were the spirits of the former warships sunk during WWII (along with the soldiers who died on them), and due to unknown reasons these spirits got corrupted and filled with hatred and agony they experienced before they vanished from this world, hence became what's known as "Abyssal" right now.

Sorry for the late reply but it's somewhat relevant to the original question. As of late, probably since 2014 Autumn event actually now I think about it, the event bosses have started to resemble specific KanMusu, normally ones sunk in the event that the event represents. For example Mid Way Princess (pet peeve: it is written as mid point in Japanese i.e two separate words that reference reality without being the same thing therefore it should be Mid Way not Midway Princess) is Akagi, Armoured Carrier Water Demon is Shoukaku etc.
