Adam, I think that you're spot-on with your assessment of how wrong it is the Disney Corporation is ignoring that building. For such an enormous entity to ignore this critical piece of their history, especially considering this was the location where Walt created Mickey Mouse is beyond shameful. It ought to be a museum of some sort at the very least. Sorry you got handed such awful weather! Another great vlog!

Let's face it, Disney execs these days are too busy trafficking humans to care...

I LOVE weather content especially related to real life. This probably seems boring to some but I think it's super exciting! Thanks for filming all this! Stadium tour was cool too 😎 Also, I'm 100% with you on Walt's old place... It seems like a pretty relevant place to me as well.

I'm from KC and yesterday's storm was just crazy. While you were filming the power going out of your hotel I was fighting to get home from work in ridiculous traffic because of the storm. A trip that usually only takes 30 minutes took about 70 and it was scary with the extreme winds. Glad you got the chance to see the Kauffman / Royals stadium so the day wasn't a complete washout. Hopefully today will be better for your plans.

my trip from 119th/Metcalf to 75th/State Line KS side usually only takes about 20 minutes, but it took 120 minutes to finally get home yesterday becausse of all the trees down, and the traffic lights being out from the power failures the entire way... OMG what a nightmare.

So sad to see the Laugh-O-Gram Studio building in such terrible condition. You would think it would have some kind of Historical Landmark protections placed upon it. I’m a Technical Director for an unaffiliated minor baseball team in the Pioneer League here in Montana. This was FASCINATING! I live produce and video mix our broadcast stream so it incredibly cool to see their set up!!! I grew up in Missouri going all the time to Royals games and still consider them my team! I didn’t know this tour existed! I need to schedule a trip back home!

I live West of KC in Lawrence, KS (Rock Chalk Jayhawk), I was on our patio watching that storm build then pass thru, the storm was was just a baby to us midwesterners, lol. But seriously there were a lot of people who lost power for days, we live out in the country and luckily never lost our power which is very unusual for us. Hope you enjoyed your stay!

Kind of surprised that a hotel that must deal with this all the time does not at the very least have a industrial generator to power the elevators and other amenities.

That scene in the hotel was spooky with the lights out, The Shining. That's sad that the Disney studio hasn't been preserved. That should have been the main priority. I mean that's really the birthplace there. Thanks Adam.

Disney needs to step up and develop that property. Imagine how it would help that town. Because of that building, an empire was created. Step up Disney!

We had the tail end of that storm hit Tulsa. It was definitely windy, but nothing compared to the storm with 100mph winds we had last month that took out power to the whole entire city for a week 🫠

As a resident of Lee's Summit (a KC suburb), I've never done the Kaufmann tour so that was great to see. The Royal Lancers were the support club for the organization (I think they still exist). I'm sorry that the weather wasn't welcoming to you! That was a pretty decent storm; 70 mph winds for a bit. I wondered if you'd go by Walt's original studios. Sad how the building looks today and I do hope they fix it up.

Went to Kauffman Stadium back in 2000 on a baseball tour. The Royals outfield was Jermaine Dye,Carlos Beltran and Johnny Damon.

The current Disney company should be doing something with that building. Take some money from the movie studios (that are wasting money) and put it into restoring their founder's history.

I went to Royals Stadium at a very young age. My dad did summer baseball trips for three years in a row when I was 7-9, going to the Hall of Fame, Comiskey Park and Royals Stadium in that order. I got to choose. My favorite player was Carlton Fisk, even though I only caught the very end of his career. I also wanted to see Comiskey Park before it was torn down. It's crazy thinking back on it that I was so into baseball history at that age that I wanted to visit a park across the country before it was gone. Or that my favorite player was already a perennial All-Star long before I was born. As a side note with my Kansas City trip, we went for series against the Yankees each time (my dad's a fan, don't blame me), and Phil Rizzuto helped us get tickets for one of the four games. We didn't know him, just met him on the plane. My dad wasn't even old enough to see him play. I also stayed in that same hotel as Mr the Woo, but we didn't have the stadium view from our room. That would have made a great trip even better.

My fiancé and I are in town for the games as well and had a room at that same hotel last night! We ended up checking out early and staying somewhere else when we found out the power wasn’t coming back on anytime soon. I had no idea you were around. Would’ve been neat to run into you!

Adam - I was a board member for the organization, Thank You Walt Disney, who is working to restore the old Laugh O Gram building. I am no longer on the board but, from what I hear, things are in place to get the building restored and start work in earnest very soon. I hope that is the case. In regards to Disney and their involvement on this project - I'd be happy to share my thoughts off line. :)

Kind of my home stadium although I lived in Harrison, Ar. My best friend worked for Montgomery Ward and she always got us tickets in their box. You saw Bo Jackson play, and I saw Reggie Jackson play... I was going to games there in the height of the George Brett era. Love Kauffman Stadium

Was at work over in Leawood, Kansas when the storm hit. We had 80 MPH recorded winds along with blinding rain, lightening and thunder. Got home to no power. Live in Grandview, MO. Power was restored around 11 AM, or so. Was happy about that. Sorry the weather ruined your visit. Hope you were able to have some fun.

Adam, as a Royal's Season Ticket Holder, I have been inside the stadium, Hall of Fame, the field and all of the places that you showed. I have never been able to go inside the Press Box though. Thank you for the inside look.

Also from KC. thanks for bringing hurricane weather with you, Adam lol j/k. Trees and power were down ALL OVER the city. It's crazy. Still a total mess today. We were lucky and didn't have any house or vehicle damage from our trees shattering.

The Royals were my team growing up. I even went to George Brett's Hall of Fame Induction in Cooperstown. Thank you for showing the tour, I hadn't done that one. Sorry the power went out and that the game was postponed. I'm surprised that they didn't have a generator at the hotel that kicked in when the power went out. Thanks for showing Disney in KC. You're so right, Disney should restore that, that's a shame how it exists now. Great video!!!

I hate to bash Disney again but do you think that they actually care about that? I mean there so stuck up on sticking it to Desantis and Florida and there movies bombing that they don't care about some history in Kansas City. I hate to say that but it's a pipe dream. I thought it would get better with Bob and he would bring some much needed sense into Disney. But that isn't happening.

@@goodvibes4459 Oh they absolutely do care. If they didn't, they wouldn't have preserved so much that they already have. Disney cares, but doesn't care enough to spend potentially hundreds of millions of dollars to resurrect an absolutely dilapidated building in a run down area that was only used by Walt for two years. If the state put some resources into actually spiffing up the area Disney would absolutely swoop in and renovate the property. It's an absolute lose-lose scenario to spend that much in a commercially awful area that would only attract a certain type of Disney fan.

Really loved the tour of the Stadium I found it quite interesting also I am sorry your game got rained out but I guessing they will reschedule it so you’ll get to see it now that building you showed well I believe and I could be wrong is it probably not worth it to fix it up because it may cost more than it’s worth and like you said it really isn’t in the best area and if you think about it how many people would go down there being that it’s it’s not in the best area but maybe one day it will get fixed up but for now all you can do is sit and wait now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next awesome Adam the daily woo adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️

Fun to see you in my hometown! Maybe you will get to see two games (doubleheader) in one day! I know you have to be careful on your meetups but really would have been fun to meetup up with some of your followers from KC. Probably the funniest thing I think you say on vlogs is people will watch no matter what the content at this point. The day you were having troubles flying back home a few weeks ago we were having the same problem coming back from Oregon. One of the few recurring dreams I have had is being chased by a tornado .Never have lived where tornadoes occur , but my mom and grandma grew up in Kanas City and told me story of a relative who was killed by a tornado. They never found his head. True story.

Sad that Laugh O Gram is so run down. I agree the Disney Company should put money toward the restoration of it’s original humble beginnings in honor of Walt and the legacy of how it all started with a mouse. Thanks for sharing Adam.

I saw Tears for Fears that evening at the Starlight Theater there in KC. We thought they were going to cancel bc of that storm but it ended up a lovely evening

Love the VIP tour of Kauffman stadium and I live in Kansas City I haven't seen some of the things that you seen there. The heartbreaking building of Walt Disney that is rotting away it's because lack of money they want to build it into a school for kids that are not able to pay to learn how to draw an animate. I wish Walt Disney company would get involved and save this crucial landmark in Kansas City where it all started. And I didn't know if you've been to Walt's house and Kansas City and I didn't know if you've been to Marceline or not definitely come back to Kansas City and visit!!
