I notice that the actors recite slowly, clearly sounding every syllable. Also, the accent seems to be different from the usual Japanese I have grown accustomed to hearing. Do they use a particular form of language adapted to this kind of theater or do they simply speak slowly to give added gravity to their acting?

I now I’m 11 years late, but on the off chance you or someone else sees this, yes they use an older dialect. It’s sort of like how Shakespeare plays are in English but a slightly older, though understandable, version. Kabuki also often uses the Japanese equivalent of Elizabethian English.

It is an old Japanese and the way the actors speak is much different from that of the usual speech. It is hard to understand what they say. I am not familiar with the story and probably understand 70 % if this narration will not disturb my hearing. I cannot understand the songs at all. Basically, I don't think that it is easy for ordinal Japanese people, especially for younger Japanese people to understand what they say without being familiar with Kabuki or linguistic knowledge.

歌舞伎の大きな特徴の一つに「出演者は男性のみ」と云うことですが、 (子役は例外)。男が女を演じる「女形」がその象徴です。 そもそも歌舞伎は女性が始めた芸能でしたが、一六Ｏ三年京都に現れた 「 出雲の阿国 」がその人です。 そののち、歌舞伎は常に取拾選択を繰り返して発展を続けてきました。 古くからあるものは、練り上げて型を洗練させ、新しい要素は貪欲に取り 入れながら。ゆえに一言で「歌舞伎とはこうである」と言い切れない、 多面的な魅力をもつ芸能となったわけですが、一方で存亡の危機に瀕した ことも数知れません。 十八世紀には人形浄瑠璃に人気を奪われ、江戸の大火や戦災で幾度となく 芝居小屋を失うなど、上演の危機や人気の陰りもありましたが、 その都度打開策を見出しては、しぶとく延命し、二ＯＯ三年には、 「歌舞伎四百年」を迎えました。常に時代と共に呼吸を続ける 「生きた」伝統芸能であることが、長寿の秘訣なのでしょう。 いよいよ、源義経、武蔵坊弁慶、一行の【義経主従の出】となります。 劇中、「強力」と呼ばれるのは、”荷物持ち”のことです。

不適合! 不適合! 有簡單的劇情說明就可以了不用在旁邊一直講解個不停完全無法安靜的觀看啊畢竟這是個需要全神貫注的藝術
