As an Australian, I can tell you Kangaroos are shy creatures and never attack unless provoked. They were just passing through and her reaction was perfect. She remained calm and kept her distance. Well done lady! 👏👏👏

In Australia, golfers play golf. By aiming for the kangaroos pouch. That has the desiganited number. Marked on a plastic tag. That hangs on the kengaroos neck. Which all 9 or 18 kangaroos. Are allowed to hop and walk. Around the golf course, as they please.

They're so cute from a distance when they're hopping around, but up close oh god

theres a clip of a medium size roo attacking a golfer and he gets some good hits in with his club, you can hear the impact but all it did was piss it off. they're pretty tough, i've bowled a few over with the roo bar on my ute and they just shake it off. i slowed down on seeing the pricks but it would have sent a person straight to hospital for an extended stay.

Although I am not from Australia. Nor have I ever really done much research on the large rodent species of kangaroo. I can absolutely say that they are acting in a formation because they feel that there is a predator of extreme danger in the immediate area. And it is clearly not you and that they are afraid of. As a matter of fact they gathered near you hoping that it would dissuade the predator. I have had Whitetail deer and Blacktail deer and rabbits all do that to me on multiple occasions.

Children can pat them at wildlife sanctuaries, and according to official govt data from 2001-2017 there were only 37 fatalities caused by kangaroos but EVERY ONE was the result of a vehicle incident, not the result of a "kangaroo attack". So please dont tell me NONSENSE like "it could easily kill you". There's a reason why that woman was laughing and smiling while you're crossing your legs and BS'ing.

Shy but curious...you dont get shirty with them coz there is always a big fella close by that you normally dont see but watching. Sometimes your ball ends up near one having a lay down/rest. You just take a drop nearby.
