This week i went for a walk down Kangaroo Tk in Lerderderg. Starting from Obrien's road this walk was roughly an 11 km loop using Kangaroo Tk, Byres Back Tk, Morning Star Tk and back along the side track along Greendale, Trentham Rd.
The walk takes in old gold diggings, alluvial both surface and shaft with a possible small hydraulic mining area along the Lerderderg River.
There isn't anything too difficult about this walk and looking at 3.5 to 4 hours depending on breaks etc.
