Pikachu main here This topic comes up a lot on whether Denki should be nerfed. People say it’s cheap if u get stunned u lose. Other characters have this such as ice man and giant lady. Tbh you need to nerf his damage because if you don’t his domain expansion will deplete your health. Either that or nerf all other stuns in the game. Overall just enjoy playing him rn cause I don’t think the devs will let this slide in season 4😢

Shoto isn't as bad anymore due to the hitbox nerf and the recharge nerf making the ice path have actual downsides to use. Also he cant use it on people above him so counterplay exist. Mnt lady yea the combo needs removed but atleast if i get hit by a mnt lady combo i feel like she earned it and her beta takes time to come back so she cant spam it every single fight. Denki can use his to hit people above him and in the air which is something the other stuns cant do and denkis recharge is much better than mnt ladys or shotos making it have little downside to spam. Denki is not top tier and as such i think he deserves a trade off. Id say more alpha range and traps lasting longer but his gamma gets a recharge nerf and loses its initial hitbox making it easier to dodge

6:38 "If you're a rapid character especially and Kaminari stuns you, I'm sorry" got a lobby yesterday with FIVE Kaminaris and I spent the entire game as Ochako basically just running for my life. I'd hear the zip-zap and immediately have to abandon whatever I was doing (looting, fighting, healing, etc) to just RUN in the opposite direction because even at full health with shields, getting hit by a single gamma means Kaminari basically just kills me for free. His beta at level nine can kill me without even coming close to putting himself in dumb mode

Yeah other characters if it’s just solo Kaminari can get away with a sliver of hp but rapids have it the hardest since their base hp is low. If he shoots you just a bit before the stun that’s game over

I have a clip of a Kaminari missing his stun but it still hit, securing him a kill, it has a really wide hit box. Just like Dekus kick if they look in your general direction you are cooked.

Possible fixes for Denki: -Make his stun do no damage and instead increase the range and charges upon lvl up. -Shorten the stun duration for gamma. -Force the player to become "stupid" after using beta. Because honestly stopping it at 1 percent feels cheap. -Add a hard knockdown after the stun wears off like Todoroki. -Tell him Jiro hates him and have him leave the game in dispair. -

i don't think this is a good idea, because in the first place he don't have long-range attack unlike the rest of strike type characters, he doesn't have mobility either. he only has the stun which is his specialist, if they nerf that he would be so weak.

After kendos video another videeo of a character that i love play with thank you Demon❤😂. I have to be honest, i love kaminari but maybe a little nerf could be usefull even if i think there are characters more annoying, for me, like cementos or idk momo cannons and alpha or iida beta tracking ecc That combo in the second match of shoto stunn + denki stunn was very cool i have to say that😂. The thing with denki is everyone forgets about his special action. It basically makes him a character you have to jump no matter what. You can do crazy one shot stun combos with it.

zenitsu class: rapid hp=250 gp=250 jump: lida speed: froppy melee: 4 slashes with his sword ending with an upwards slash, damage per slash is 20 and final hit is 50 air melee: does a front flip sword slash thing ,does 50 damage and has very little end lag alpha: thunder clap and flash: ground only move like shigarki you fall to the ground if you use in the air, this is a chargeable slash that makes him go further the more you hold( he moves forward btw ) range: shigraki level 1 alpha all levels full charge damage:70 at level 1 and 100 at level 9 ammo:3 all levels has a pretty long end lag like all might beta beta: another chargeable move, basically urarakas beta but the more you charge the more hits you get , tapping the button gives you 1 hit holding midway is 3 and holding all the way is 6, can cancel while charging but not while spinning, takes 3 seconds ( to fully charge ) at level 1 and 1 at 9. animation wise it would be cool to have him not fully visible, something like a mini electric tornado esque look gamma: thunder clap and flash but does smaller damage, isn't chargeable ,can be used in the air and locks opponent in hit stun as well as tracking like lida alpha. basically sixfold, see his ultimate in hinokami chronicles, damage:30 at level 1 and 50 at level 9 ammo:2 at level 1 and 4 at level 9 special: he falls asleep and becomes insane, 1.10x damage, 1.5x speed, and a extra charge for al skills, after it runs out he loses the ability to fight for 10 seconds and cant roll, only screams in fear so use wisely, but his run speed is slightly buffed for that time

Being new to the game stuns can be really annoying. I fully understand that when new its 100% a skill issue. But this game IS NOT forgiving to new players haha. They make all the decent hero's locked and then it takes FOREVER to unlock them if you aren't spending money on the game. It is just a bit demotivating and if I didn't love My Hero Academia as much as I do, I would not be able to play this game haha. ANYWAY, off topic, I personally think too many hero's have strong stun abilities. (Love the vids btw really happy you randomly popped up on my Feed

Thanks for watching! And yeah stuns in the game can be a bit oppressive. At the very least they seem to be aware of this and nerf them when things get out of hand (todoroki was nerfed last season and Kaminari this season)

The stuns what makes it great, when fighting kamanari u have to stay on your toes, it makes u good to be on ur toes when fighting too.

Treat it like a dark souls boss

They need to nerf his beta halfway back to his old damage and his gamma stun time to allow two alpha shots max, which is a stun time reduction of around half a second I guess. Stuns should do big damage and leave you low hp, but never one shot. That said, I don't have a problem with the special action one shot combo, as it's very hard to pull off. I think characters with mediocre and trash special actions should get buffs to them instead.

I want a rework on all status ailments in this game Paralysis - Causes slower movement(-10%), Kaminari's alphas make a beam to you when within range kind of like an endeavor who won't leave you alone, and it's spreadable to other opponents and the inflicted character's teammates (Lasts 5 Seconds so kaminari's traps at lv 9 would do about 150 damage) a lot but waaaay less than the ol' stun n gun Ice - Slower movement(-10%) & Abilities locked (lasts 5 seconds ) I know it's not much of a problem now, but I think stunning too op and just nerfing damage or shortening the stun is so boring. Burn- Keep the damage, Attack down(-10%) Decay - is good tbh just make it rapidly drain shields like how burn drains health. Kaminari changes I would like - it would be cool if when an enemy gets paralyzed they are visible to Kaminari for 5 seconds as a red transparent figure similar to your teammates so you could set traps to chip people and verify who your fighting with your team like how he did in season 5.. -All his stun moves now make people fall over instead of stick in place, but applies paralysis upon wake up -Tbh his beta is crazy but without the stun in place I think that is a nerf itself, but just in case give it a cap like Dabi's traps where too many hits equal falling over -Also Alpha charges stay in place whether it hits or misses to up his trap game Thoughts- Fever dream I know. I doubt they would put this much into a single patch, but as a Kaminari main I want him to be top tier but not like this. This is too much and the skill ceiling is crazy low, which is why I want them to shift the damage he does now into potential damage a high playing Kaminari can utilize at will. I mean no matter what happens I'm gonna play him because he's my boy and his quirk is crazy cool.

Interesting changes but like you said I doubt they’d overall too much of what they’ve already implemented just based on prior updates

I feel stuns need a rework, they feel a little too strong with characters like Denki who can melt health bars by himself without his team, I feel a threshold of damage should be added to stuns, decrease the stun times heavily or make them function as slows as not being able to fight back for 2-3 seconds is crazy icl 💀

They def gotta nerf that stun man wow, insane gameplay by you as always. Btw i just learned something today. so you know how you can't get damage from downed enemies anymore? Well apparently you can if its the final guy. The game will add the final blow of the last enemy to your total damage, you can actually see it in this video at 8:05. Look at your damage before and then the leaderboard.

beta is a gum gum bazooka, same principle as before but hits in a circle and gamma is battle axe which is like a manchester but chargeable special is gum balloon that reflects everything

kaminari technical move set idea: alpha: shoots one of the discs, they give a red out line to any opponent they hit for 4 secs at level 1 and 9 at 9 damage=50 at lvl1 and 75 at level 9 ammo=5 at lvl1 and 8 at lvl 9 beta: throws a car battery(i know it sounds stupid but hear me out), when it hits the ground creates an electricity field ammo=2 all levels range: shigaraki beta level 4 at level 9 damage:20 gamma: basically his beta from before but only hits the ground, the cool part is that if he is near his discs, electricity is guided towards them, great for setting traps and a good get off me tool damager:50 per second at level 9 range: old beta range ammo: percentage based is this too weak or too broken?

It’s the vicious cycle of this game and the balancing. I remember when most thought kiri was a low tier then one buff later and he became a monster people wanted nerfed. Opposite with froppy, she was strong then nerfed to be weak so people wanted her buffed again

Kaminari is an dangerous threat to come across and he is quite aggravating. His beta is quite powerful and takes about half your shields or health. It is annoying 100%, But I think the Gamma should be worked on. Either get the 2nd bullet at level 9 or work on hitbox detection for it. Because it's that damn Gamma that makes them dangerous.

Honestly it’s tough to balance cause there’s counterplay if you know kaminari is there and if you can dodge both betas then you kinda have the advantage in the fight in my opinion but if you don’t know he’s there then you’re just reacting to a buzzing sound which…. Is possible but very unlikely in which case you’re just dead of you get hit with the stun as you’ve clearly shown in the video😂. So maybe the thing to do would be do nerf the stun duration itself which I think would be the best option or just do a tune down on the damage of all his abilities

Yeah like you said it’s tough. Depending on what they change they could effectively kill his character as they’ve done others in the past so I’m curious what they’ll do if anything to him

He def needs a nerf. Make his stun do no damage you could give it a slight cooldown to compensate a bit. Then increase his special action damage so he can still do a decent combo but he has to do setup for it. P.S. why does plus ultra knock my lady out of big form. As pikachu you can get free kills because the time to get small is same time for kind up for PU so you can stun install after animation over.

I never really played denki much, so I didn’t have badges on him. But I played him 3 times got 10 ko and 6k badge on him (10567 damage💀) and champion three times💀. I’ve never gotten so many hate messages😂. “No skill” “rank 48 for what” “ace rank for what”

Yeah the rapids have it rough especially since they only rely on close quarter attacks which means they have to play with fire with him

I always miss the stun an even if it hits my gamma never enough( yes both lvl 9) to secure a kill. Ive seen an had so many people do it but when I try its weak or never works 😭. I get sent to Jump City one way ticket.

As long as your close enough it should take the steering wheel and just track to them. That’s why I’m always so confident it’ll hit because it does most the work for me

I am always max beta first when I am kirishima but when have kamanari I max gamma because when he does gamma then beta I get in the middle of that and gamma and it is basically a guaranteed KO

To be honest I think the perfect strike team with kaminari would be bakugo and endeavor because both their alphas can just melt people although shigaraki is also an option you can still hit people in the air

Also I added a tiny bit for urarakas combo with the gamma alpha gamma and alpha then landing an air melee but it's hard to land the air melee

honestly i think stuns are the biggest problem in the game and like moves that deal a ton of damage for low effort i don't mean like you don't have to try i mean it's just easier then what most characters have to do to get that type of damage but it's fine as long as there's at least some way to outplay it

Yeah being rewarded super heavily for landing one attack with good tracking compared to what other characters have to do for the same damage is something

stuns need a rework in general if someone stuns you in place after 2 hits from anything you should fall out of it. i personally dont think its fair if you get caught off guard or make one mistake you die for it

I always hear the exact opposite of what you said and hear the most crying for nerfs about him of anyone in the game and definitely never anything for buffs lol I hope they don't though, I don't want my new main completely destroyed too :' ) I am fine with a slight nerf. I think bare minimum change that's already fine in my opinion is that he doesn't get second dash until level 4. You could also lower the damage of the dash since it does almost 100 and considering the 3 alphas or the full beta whichever way you build him is around 300 damage instantly on one mistake, the gamma itself bringing it up to almost 400 is kinda stupid. Honestly it could do zero damage and still be a great move lol My COOLEST build idea for him though is go back to 1 dash with a faster cooldown, and make it so when you activate his special action he gets a speed boost like he has a blue card on. It would make that move so much more viable to ACTUALLY be able to run into someone, give him more strategic play with how to stun, open up the hard punish of the double stuns, plus he'd have less good overall movement than he does right now with 2 dashes, but better strategic movement with the fast run speed and wall run of a blue on command. You could do a lot of cooler high skill ceiling stuff.

Yeah the main reason I don’t use his special action is because it’s super impractical most the time unless your fighting a melee character or sneak up on someone. It giving it a speed boost would make it more useful tho

To me stuns are fine but the stun cant do that much damage, like after nerf kirishima does 130 with a punch, denki does 135 with a stun AND you can follow up with more damage (also teammates ofc ) they nerfed todoroki's ice damage and idk how low it is now but I think denki should get the same treatment.

kamininari nerf idea: 3 hits from alpha should knock down opponent making him less good at sniping or chasing beta instantly stops stun making his combo way more punishable. he can still gamma into special action into alpha but he now needs to be played with more than 2 braincells

I think I’ve only had 700 ever and even then I’ve only rolled one character(kirishima) before, it’s so discouraging cause I feel like I will never have some of the characters I want without spending money and makes me wanna quit the game

I mean if you dodge his stuns which isnt that hard youre good But if he catches you off gaurd its wraps
