Have u received ur grinder ? How do u like it, is it difficult sharpening with the single speed ???

Just getting started with a 1x30 from Harbor Freight. If I do go further into the hobby I know where to go.

You guys have plans for a skinny wheel? Like a bigger diameter but really thin? I can’t remember what I was doing the other day but I remember thinking that it would have been useful as hell. I think it was a long fuller now that I think about it. The small wheel attachment doesn’t quite work as well as a thin wheel would.

Just buy a skinny wheel and rip your belts in half, no plans necessary...

Question for the builders of this grinder, if the unit is mounted on a workbench can it be tilted back to give access to the 4 inch rubber wheel at the bottom?

It does tilt backwards. Also, you can mount it to where the 4" wheel hangs over the front of the bench. Got your email and sent a picture and video to show how much it can tilt backwards.

I need it. To be clear, I don't need it, but Well You know.

This is a 1hp Weg brand motor, with warranty

As Keven stated, these are WEG motors with a warranty on the 2x48 machines. We use WEG, Lesson and Baldor on AmeriBrade products.
