自分も以前はそう考えていましたが、今の日本をもし特攻で散花された方たちが見たらそれはそれで喜ばれると思う。 あれだけコテンパンにやられて戦後、アメリカの援助もあって復興したわけだが、援助されても途上国などいくらでもある。今や世界に貢献できる技術開発や発見など、日本は戦後、世界的に素晴らしい貢献をしているし、生活水準も先進国、いや、当時の戦勝国よりももはや高い水準にある。彼らに対して申し訳なく思う気持ちを彼らが察することが出来たならば、豪快に一笑に付す事だろう。　そして現代の発展した日本国を見て、やればできるじゃないか。彼らは必ず言うと思う。　申し訳なく思うより日本人として誇りを持って前に歩めと。

У японцев самопожертвование в крови. Вспомните первое аниме в СССР - "Корабль - призрак" 1969 года. Момент где маленькая тян предложила мальчику протаранить подводное логово злодея Боа корпусом корабля. Потому что у них вышло из строя вооружение (лазерная пушка) и они не могли атаковать. Девочка сказала что они уничтожат злодея во благо всех людей в Мире и мальчик согласился. То что они 100% погибнут даже не обсуждалось. В последний момент к ним в кабину вбежал капитан и приказал катапультироваться. Я понимаю что это лишь мультик, но тенденция заметна.

A US News Correspondent present on a British carrier of the BPF during the Battle of Okinawa witnessed a Kamikaze attack on the carrier, he reported on how such an attack on a US carrier would have crippled her flight deck for months, the RN carrier's armoured flight deck, however, resulted in little more than a big dent, an order being given to "man the brooms", and flight ops were recommenced within the hour. An interesting little tidbit of history I thought I'd share.
