Later versions had a deal with Honda, I heard the reason for the change to fewer bike stunts was because of new laws.

Amazon got his bike from the recurring mentor character of the Showa era, Tobei Tachibana. Amazon initially hated machines because of culture shock from going from his home in the South American rainforests to Tokyo. After some training with Tachibana, Amazon overcame his fear and mastered riding a motorcycle.
