The raucous laughter, hooting, and clapping that followed Harris' statement was so immediate that the editor of this clip couldn't quite cut all of it out for the somber effect that this commentator was aiming for. Even though Harris properly read the room of young women who face many challenges themselves and could relate as evidenced by their clapping, Harris should care that the world is watching as well. People in her position are never just talking to their audience.
Well, at least she wasn't there to see a stage production of Beetlejuice.
